The cast of new West End musical Just For One Day – The Live Aid Musical are performing on Britain’s Got Talent this weekend.
The Just For One Day cast will perform during the third Semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent, this Saturday 10 May at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
The show is coming to the West End’s Shaftesbury Theatre next week, 15 May 2025, following an acclaimed run at The Old Vic Theatre (Read a round-up of reviews from The Old Vic production).
The London cast have recently returned from the North American premiere of the show at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto, and are now in rehearsals ahead of Just For One Day’s West End opening.
Last week at a press launch for the show at Wembley Stadium, it was announced that a Just For One Day cast album will be released on 11 June 2025.

Britain’s Got Talent 2025
Following six weeks of auditions, the BGT semi-finals started on Saturday 26 April 2025, and are airing every Saturday night until 23 May.
Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, and hosted by Ant and Dec, the semi-finals are taking place live at the Eventim Apollo in London.
The first week saw Karis Anderson and the cast of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical perform live on Britain’s Got Talent (watch here); and last week, Luke Brady and the cast of Disney’s Hercules performed on BGT (watch here).

The hugely talented cast of Just For One Day is led by Craige Els (Doctor Who, Matilda The Musical), who reprises his performance as Bob Geldof in the show.

On 13 July 1985, music united the world. Live Aid, organised by rockstars Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for the Ethiopian famine crisis, was an unprecedented global music event that brought 1.5 billion people together, and they all have a story to tell about ‘the day rock ‘n’ roll changed the world’.
2025 marks 40 years since the iconic Live Aid concerts in London and Philadelphia.
Just For One Day is written by John O’Farrell (Mrs. Doubtfire, Something Rotten!), directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, Starlight Express), and features hit songs by Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Who, U2, Queen, Madonna, The Police, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Diana Ross and more of the iconic artists who made history at the Live Aid concerts.
