Kai Made His Decision On April 22 General Hospital… But There’s A Catch

Kai gave Drew his decision.

After hearing everyone out, Kai finally decided whether he wants to take Drew up on his offer to get surgery on the April 22, 2025 episode of General Hospital… and we all knew there would be a catch.

Back On The Field

Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) arrived at Drew’s (Cameron Mathison, who recently reunited with his former All My Children co-stars) house to give him the good news that he decided to go through with the surgery. If all goes well, it could get the former QB2 back on the field in the fall, but it sounds like Drew may have other plans.

Once Kai agreed to the surgery, that was when Drew casually brought up his he recently met a documentary producer while on the campaign field, then pitched to Kai a documentary all about his surgery and comeback. Kai initially declined, but then agreed as a way of returning Drew’s favor.

Blackmail Bonanza

While Kai received Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) full support once he told her he decided to get the surgery, which would take place next week, Portia (Brook Kerr) arrived at Drew’s door to berate him for putting Kai’s future at risk. She reminded him that Kai could become paralyzed if anything went wrong, and he replied with a reminder that she still has a medical license thanks to him.

While Kai’s surgery is scheduled for next week, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) open heart surgery in Los Angeles is set to begin on Thursday, April 24. With two life-threatening surgeries on the way, something is bound to go wrong.
