Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker tied the knot in a lavish wedding in 2014. The elaborate celebration was filmed for a wedding special that aired on Bravo. I will never forget the lions at the entrance to the venue.
However, Kandi’s mom was not on board with her daughter marrying Todd. Later, it seemed as if relations between Mama Joyce and Todd improved. Sadly, it sounds as if Mama Joyce is once again unhappy about Kandi and Todd’s marriage.

As you may recall, Mama Joyce said that Kandi made “lemonade out of lemons” when referencing Todd. To say that Kandi was upset by that comment was putting it mildly. Still, she married her man and they welcomed two children.
During a recent Amazon Live, Kandi read a fan question. “Danielle says, ‘How’s your mother and Todd getting along?’” Welp, Kandi’s facial expressions said it all. “Not great. Let’s see. Friday, they did pretty good. The kids, Ace and Blaze, had graduated from their school,” Kandi explained. “So, they was doing pretty good. But by the time I got back from my trip the other day, my mom, she wasn’t feeling me again.” Kandi added, “She was back to not feeling us. So, hopefully, it will change.”
I mean, Kandi’s professional life is on point. The busy entrepreneur also recently served as a producer for the play Othello on Broadway. It starred Hollywood A-lister Denzel Washington.
Still, Kandi seems to be dealing with drama behind the scenes. After a bout of laughter, she stated in her Amazon Live, “Y’all just don’t know what I really … like all this stuff that y’all see online, that stuff is like, who cares? But this stuff, this stuff that I really be dealing with, y’all just do not understand, okay?”
Fingers crossed that Kandi can resolve this drama with her Mama soon.
