Kandi Burruss Reveals the Status of Her RHOA Friendships: "You Know..."

“I’m still heavily involved in that circle,” she said. “I’m just not gonna be on film, how about that? That’s just not my intention to go back as a cast member. But when you say, ‘Would I miss it?’ I don’t know, but Cynthia said that I’m not gonna miss it until they start doing promos for the new season.”

Cynthia left RHOA in 2021 but will return to the series in a “friend of” role. Season 16, which is set to premiere in 2025, will feature Shamea, Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, and Drew Sidora as well as newcomers Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley.

“Kandi’s been on since, I think, season 2. She is, in my opinion, one of the most inspiring women on the show,” Cynthia told Entertainment Tonight back in April. “She’s such a boss… I think, I’ve always known that once Kandi decided to move on, she was going to be fine. She’s an actress, she’s a singer, I mean she’s all over the place. So I only expect to see even more from Kandi at this point.”

Kandi gives an update on her husband Todd's health scare

Kandi shared the friendship update just several weeks after her husband, Todd Tucker, was briefly hospitalized. The former Housewife addressed the incident in an Amazon Live stream, reassuring viewers that her hubby was doing just fine.

“Todd is doing well,” she said during the broadcast before issuing a PSA. “First of all, guys, make sure you get regular check-ups, all right? Especially when you’re starting to get a little mature.”

Kandi confirmed the health scare occurred on October 20, when she and Todd traveled to New York City to attend the Broadway opening of Sunset Boulevard. She said Todd had experienced increasing discomfort in the arm and chest area, which prompted him to go to the emergency room.

“They said it could possibly be a pinched nerve. I’ve never heard of that,” Kandi revealed. “They said a pinched nerve in your neck-shoulder area can sometimes cause pain along that entire arm, and numbness similar to a stroke. So they want to give him X-rays and stuff to see if it’s that or if it’s [related to] the [high] blood pressure… So they’re checking. OK? We’ll keep you updated. He’s OK now. I didn’t want to tell you too much. So that’s that on that.”
