For the first time in nearly 15 years, we’ve endured a full season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta without Kandi Burruss. The show went through a small reboot, but that didn’t stop Andy Cohen from asking her about a potential return to the show when he had her on Watch What Happens Live this week.
Of course, Kandi doesn’t really need to be on Housewives. She’s got plenty of jobs, and that’s why her latest answer to the question about a RHOA return felt pretty surprising.
After Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we all wanted to see some changes in the cast. Kandi exiting the show wasn’t exactly what anyone had in mind, but she decided to retire her peach.
During the July 15 episode of WWHL, Andy asked if she’d ever consider coming back to the show. She made it clear that it’s not going to happen in the near future. Don’t hold your breath for a Season 17 comeback, but she didn’t fully rule it out later down the road.
“I mean, I guess you could never say never, but I guess I don’t see it happening anytime soon,” Kandi said.
That’s far from the responses we’ve heard from other former Housewives, like Lisa Vanderpump or Bethenny Frankel. The last time someone asked LVP if she’d ever go back to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she said pigs would have to fly.
Although Kandi won’t be returning to RHOA soon, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing her on Bravo. Her daughter, Riley Burruss, stars on Next Gen NYC, where Kandi has been known to make a few cameos.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Bravo every Sunday at 8/7c. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
