Karen Huger was once again at the center of the drama on Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
As Jacqueline Blake, 39, confirmed she’d been intimate with Mia Thornton, 39, and the cast questioned Stacey Rusch about her unconventional relationship with boyfriend Thomas Anthony “TJ” Jones, Karen, 61, was confronted about her potential need for rehab, which prompted her to claim Mia had been to rehab for an opioid addiction.
“Jacquline and Mia are saying that we need to take you to rehab. Should I be worried about you?” Stacey asked Karen on the November 10 episode of RHOP.
“Rehab is not something that you think you need at all?” Jassi Rideaux added.
“No. No, and if I did I would tell you all,” Karen replied.
Then, as Keirarna Stewart, 36, attempted to defend Karen, saying she’d been “open and honest,” Karen made it clear that she was “not ashamed of anything” amid the backlash from her DUI charge.
“That doesn’t really bother me because I am an advocate for people who, if we get sick, let’s get help. Mia has been through rehab herself. Mia started The Joint practice because she had an opioid addiction,” she stated.
Right away, the cast was left stunned.
“Baby! Goddamn it, Karen!” Keirarna exclaimed. “Are you kidding me?”
“I love Karen, but it’s just too much at this point,” Stacey said in a confessional. “Now, we’re just throwing out anything. Mia’s a lot of things. But we’re just — we’re not gonna do that.”
Back in the scene, Karen told her castmates, “My court date is in two weeks. I know it’s hard for you as my friends to wait.”
“[But] it hurt me to hear that about you,” Stacey explained.
“Look at who you’re talking to,” Karen fired back. “You’re talking to a woman who is sleeping with her boyfriend while her husband is in the house with her.”
Although the ladies were shocked to hear Karen’s claim about Mia, Karen doubled down on the action she took against her in a confessional.
“Mia doesn’t want to protect anyone. Mia wants to elevate herself. She’ll step on Jesus to stand up. Payback is a motherf*cker,” she stated.
Later, during a bus ride, Stacey’s relationship was brought up.
“What’s he been on?” asked Gizelle Bryant, 54, of the actor.
“A whole bunch of things, ER, NCIS,” Stacey replied.
“He does extra work?” Wendy Osefo, 40, wondered.
“No, babe, not extra,” Stacey clarified.
Gizelle went on to ask about when Stacey would be seeing her boyfriend since he was living primarily in Los Angeles. She then asked, point blank, “Are you having sex?”
“We haven’t,” Stacey confirmed. “We don’t want to have sex until we’re married.”
Not respecting her and TJ’s views, the cast burst into laughter as Mia joked to Jacqueline and Ashley Darby, 36, that Stacey and TJ hadn’t yet been intimate because Stacey was “so stiff.”
“Have you felt around? You need to know what you’re working with,” Gizelle advised.
“He’s a beautiful man. I know what I’m working with,” Stacey clapped back. “It was him who made the decision. He is a devout Christian. He is really a man of his faith.”
“How old is he?” Gizelle wondered.
“He’s in his 40s. He’s been waiting for his wife all this time … He’s been waiting for me, Gizelle,” Stacey responded as the group’s giggles continued.
In their confessionals, Gizelle told Stacey, “You don’t know what you’re getting,” and Wendy admitted to finding her decision to wait until marriage to have sex “a little bit odd.”
In her own discussion with the cameras, Stacey admitted that abstinence was “difficult” before throwing some shade at her curious castmate.
“You can direct your attention to other things. There’s working out, going to the zoo, so Gizelle can laugh as much as she wants to — alone,” Stacey laughed.
Toward the end of the episode, during a game of “Marry, F*ck, Kill,” Jacqueline revealed she’d “f*cked” Mia.
“I would definitely f*ck Ashley because I’ve already f*cked Mia,” she declared.
But Ashley wasn’t too surprised, sharing in a confessional, “Mia and Jacqueline have already acknowledged that Mia once went spelunking in Jacqueline’s cave.”
Meanwhile, in her own confessional, Mia said, “[Jacqueline] talks too much. What happens at the lake stays at the lake, okay?”
Elsewhere, Gizelle shaded Jacqueline as a “scorned lover” after the racy revelation.
“Mia can talk about a million men she slept with. Jacqueline doesn’t care. But let her talk about a woman. Jacqueline is like a scorned lover. Like, ‘That ain’t true. You wanna be with me,’” she noted.
Still, Jacquline insisted, “I am never jealous of whatever Mia does with other girls because at the end of the day, I’m the queen bee up in here, and they better acknowledge me and my presence.”
