Kathy Hilton may have been surprised that her friend and former co-star, Garcelle Beauvais, left the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." However, when asked about her departure, the socialite only shared positive things about the iconic and legendary actor.
Kathy Hilton Has All The Love In The World For Garcelle Beauvais After Leaving 'RHOBH'
In an interview with TooFab, Hilton, who joined the show during its more recent seasons as an official "friend," opened up about Beauvais' shocking decision to leave the series after five seasons.
"I love and adore her. I called her obviously right when I walked off the set from the reunion and talked to her," Hilton said about the news.
"And then we ended up having dinner with a friend like two days later," Hilton continued. "And I tried to not bring up too much because I just want her to know that she's very loved and will be missed. And everybody was shocked."
During the "Beverly Hills" three-part reunion, Beauvais stormed off the set after butting heads with some of the series' marquee players, including Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley.
"I'm just so f-cking sick of it," Beauvais said. "I can't be friends with people like that. I don't trust them."
According to Hilton, Beauvais' decision to leave the set during the final part of the reunion surprised her, especially since she didn't see what led to the fiery moment.
"I only came in at the tail end because I'm not a full-time housewife. So I'm just at the last three hours of the reunion. And I didn't see anything building up. I had no idea. So I was like, 'Oh my God,'" Hilton stated.
Garcelle Beauvais Quit The Show To Focus On Her Growing Career And Relationship With Her Children
Beauvais alerted her followers about her decision to leave the series before the reunion began airing on Bravo.
"... some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it's been a ride nevertheless," she said before explaining she wanted to spend the next chapter of her life focusing on her teenage sons, Jax and Jaid.
"Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that, too," she continued.
The Netflix actress, who is currently starring in "Survival of the Thickest," also said that her growing career, which includes more on-camera and behind-the-scenes roles, was also part of the reason she chose to walk away.
"I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now, but you’ll know soon," she added.
Beauvais Hasn't Spoken With Most Of Her Former Co-Stars Since Leaving The Show
Weeks after Beauvais' surprising "Real Housewives" exit made headlines, another revelation about her relationships with her now-former co-stars also emerged.
During a separate interview, Hilton's sister, Kyle Richards, admitted to reaching out to Beauvais about their relationship; however, her efforts were reportedly fruitless.
"I texted her twice and haven't heard back," Richards said.
Loyal Bravo fans also pointed out that Beauvais unfollowed the majority of her co-stars on Instagram, except for Jennifer Tilly and Hilton.
Garcelle Beauvais Is Taking A Break From Her Best Friend On The Show, Sutton Stracke
It appears the distance isn't limited to Richards, as Beauvais reportedly isn't speaking with her former close friend, Sutton Stracke, either.
The tension in their relationship really surprised viewers, considering they've had a tight bond with one another since season 11 in 2021.
Stracke admitted she was in "shock" regarding Beauvais' departure from the series but emphasized that she wants the mother of three to be happy.
"I think we were all sort of in shock, but Garcelle is a very strong woman," Stracke said about Beauvais. "And so she's going to make her decision and do what she's going to do. I just want her to live her best life and be happy."
Stracke Is 'Hopeful' They Can Repair Their Friendship
As for Stracke's relationship with Beauvais, the 53-year-old said she's "hopeful" the two of them will find their way back to each other.
"I'm just hoping that Garcelle is good and happy and on the path that she wants to be on, which I know she is," Stracke said.
In a previous interview, she echoed a similar sentiment, stating, “Garcelle has chosen to unfollow all of the ‘Housewives.'"
Stracke added, “I can only imagine that she needs a clean break right now. I love her and am giving her the space she needs. I know that she is going to move through this next chapter with grace and success."
