Katie Maloney Defends Meghan Markle Against Backlash: ‘Kind of a Dork’

Katie Maloney

Meghan Markle is receiving backlash following her series launch on Netflix. Katie Maloney hates this. Instead of joining the bashing bandwagons, this Vanderpump Rules alum is standing up and calling out Meghan’s naysayers, as any girl’s girl would. Now, fans stan Katie all the more, as pointless hate is so passé.

Katie Maloney thinks Meghan Markle is being authentic on Netflix show

If you have not yet watched With Love, Meghan, do so. I loved this family-friendly series. Peaceful shows that do zero harm to others are so needed right now. But sadly, backlash tends to follow Meghan, no matter what moves she makes, proven by the fact that her series had negative comments on Netflix’s official accounts long before Episode 1 even dropped.

Through her podcast, Disrespectfully, hosted by Katie and Dayna Kathan, Katie used her platform to defend Meghan. After admitting her obsession with this series, Katie touched on the comments she has seen regarding With Love, Meghan on Netflix. Many people have second-guessed the authenticity of this series, but after watching Season 1, Katie feels otherwise.

“I think she is being authentic. I think this is who she is. She’s been living in Montecito for a couple of years now with chickens,” Katie noted, cheekily explaining, “She’s just kinda a dork. She’s painfully unfunny.”

Nevertheless, Katie liked many aspects of this series, such as “the music” and the cinematic shots in each frame. Katie then listed other well-known televised chefs she follows, noting that they are polished and well-honed with their crafts. In contrast, Meghan is still learning, Katie stressed, so certain scenes showed her being “a bit clumsy in the kitchen.” Katie appreciated this aspect, she joked, as this level of skills mirrors her own.

Katie supports Meghan’s preserves, flower sprinkles, and “elementary” leveled culinary experiences. So, bring on Season 2, Netflix.

With Love, Meghan is streaming on Netflix.
