Singer Katy Perry shared a photo of a bleeding knee injury during her "Lifetimes" tour. On August 7, she caught attention on Instagram with images of her scraped and bruised knees. Perry explained to her close friend Lauren Glucksman that the injury occurred while performing a dance move. "It was the moment I slipped on my knee, which usually makes people go 'wow,' but this time, I screamed," she shared. Her friend jokingly responded, "And that's when you hit 40."
This isn't the first time Katy Perry has had an accident during her global tour. Last month, she narrowly avoided falling from a butterfly-shaped prop suspended in the air during a performance in San Francisco when the equipment malfunctioned. A video of the incident shows Perry handling the situation like a pro, regaining her composure and continuing the performance as if nothing had happened.
A source told Page Six that the injury was minor. "She paused for a moment, but then kept singing without missing a beat," the source revealed.
In the latest photos, Katy Perry also shared rare moments of her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom. In one photo, Daisy is seen gazing at the view from a high-rise building. In another, she is performing a puppet dance with a lion. Perry concluded the post with the words, "We're still on tour."
Katy Perry began her "Lifetimes" tour in April in Mexico City. The tour consists of 83 shows worldwide and will run through November 2025. Despite recently going through a breakup with actor Orlando Bloom, the "Teenage Dream" singer has received praise for maintaining a positive attitude and energy throughout the tour. Perry and Bloom announced their split in July after 9 years together.
