Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 felt like a fever dream for the show. Typically, the always-dynamic Real Housewives city didn’t have its strongest season. It ended with a physical altercation between Friends Of Keiarna Stewart and Deborah Williams involving Candiace Dillard, which was the opposite of a cherry on top of a mediocre season.
RHOP Season 9 is sure to be a fresh reset for the show. Candiace and Robyn Dixon won’t be returning after each of their memorable runs on the series. It’s easy to imagine that Deborah won’t be back in any capacity. Keiarna, on the other hand, appears to be returning to RHOP as another Friend Of after her rocky debut. Well, some new legal drama is proving that Keiarna’s second season is sure to be almost as messy.
Keiarna is taking it to court
According to a filing obtained by TV Deets, Keiarna is suing Deborah for assault and battery following the dramatic Season 8 fight. She filed the lawsuit in DC Superior Court back in February, intending to take Deborah to trial in front of a jury.
Keiarna laid out all of the dirty details of the fight in her legal paperwork, ending in Deborah hitting her in the head with a glass jar causing a “serious laceration,” according to the filing. She claimed she had to receive stitches and has a permanent scar from the incident. Keiarna is asking for $10,000,000 in damages for the “mental and physical anguish” she endured from the incident. Now THAT is a lot to unpack.
Unsurprisingly, Deborah has pleaded not guilty to Keiarna’s allegations and denies all of the claims. Like we said, Keiarna is teeing herself up for a rocky ride on RHOP Season 9. Veteran Real Housewives viewers know that a lawsuit never tends to help simmer drama amongst a group of fiery women.
