The Buffalo Bills improved their win streak to six games after their 30-21 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.
At 9-2, the Bills have looked like one of the most complete teams in the league in recent weeks, especially with the team's ability to play complete games. Buffalo only trailed for about three minutes in the second quarter against Kansas City.
This season, Buffalo is 5-1 when they score first, with their one loss coming against the Houston Texans after they got out to an early 3-0 lead. The Bills are also 5-0 when leading at halftime, and 7-0 when entering the fourth quarter with the lead.
While being able to come from behind is important, it's just as important that the team can hold leads. If Buffalo can continue to dominate games when they have the lead, they will become a very hard team to take down in January, especially if they can secure home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
Receiver Amari Cooper spoke about how the team has worked to play full, consistent games.
"It's the practice, the repetition," Cooper said. "Repetition is the mother of all learning. So, we get it in and practice. Make sure we get it right. If we don't get it right, we repeat."
The Bills will now have their bye week to get some injured players back before the final stretch of the regular-season begins, including matchups against the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions.
