According to an upsetting new report, the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, who has long struggled with addiction issues, was placed on a psychiatric hold after being described as “incoherent” at the Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles earlier this month.
According to a September 27 report from TMZ, law enforcement sources showed up at the hotel, where they found both Kim and her sister, Kyle Richards, 55. They first asked Kim to vacate the premises, but she refused, and she was ultimately placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
After being released from care, Kim was said to have turned up at a home owned by Kyle. Although Kyle once allowed Kim to live at the property, she seemingly attempted to make her leave once she learned that Kim had backslid.
Trying to get her out of the home, Kyle called the police this past Wednesday after a reported confrontation with her sister. Once they arrived, Kyle said she didn’t want Kim residing on the property, explaining that she and her family were refusing to enable her unhealthy habits in an effort to push her to get sober.
Unfortunately, Kyle was told that because the matter was a civil issue, she’d have to file an eviction action against Kim to get her out. So, Kim has allegedly remained at the house.
Due to Kim’s dark past with addiction, her family has grown concerned for her life.
Before Kim’s reported relapse, Kyle spoke of her potential return to RHOBH.
“I can see [Kathy Hilton] and Kim both joining the show for sure,” she said on Watch What Happens Live earlier this year. “I know the fans want that a lot so we shall see.”
She then seemingly considered her own show with her sisters when she re-posted a message from a fan.
“OMG! I really need to watch [season 13] of [RHOBH and] the reunion! I mean it sounds interesting… Also, why don’t [Kathy Hilton] [Kim Richards and Kyle Richards] have their own show already?!” the person had asked.
Kim Richards was featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in a full-time role for its first five seasons, and she has made several guest appearances in the years since.
