Kim Zolaciak's Daughter Just Sealed Her Fate in Her DUI Case

Ariana Bierman's promo for 'Next Gen NYC.'

Ariana Biermann is about to make her big starring debut on Bravo's Next Gen NYC, coming out of the shadows of her mother, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak. But before the celebrations could go underway, the young reality star had to deal with the aftermath of her 2022 arrest for driving under the influence. According to a report with court documents obtained by In Touch, Ariana Beirmann will be avoiding jail time as her DUI charge has been reduced as part of a plea deal.

Though she and her lawyers were preparing to go to a potential trial, her lawyer, Justin Spizman, has said they are pleased with the decision from the State of Georgia. Based on the plea deal, Ariana has pleaded guilty to reckless driving and possession and use of drug-related objects. The prosecutors have dropped the charge for DUI. With this plea deal, the reality star will serve 24 months of probation. How will this affect her newfound role as a rising reality star? All shall be revealed soon.

How Will Ariana Biermann's Plea Deal Affect 'Next Gen NYC'

Ariana Biermann was originally arrested in 2022 in Georgia for three separate charges, including misdemeanor DUI driving under the influence of alcohol, misdemeanor improper/erratic lane change, and underage alcohol possession/purchase of alcohol. She was originally pulled over by police after she had hit a vehicle. 20 years old at the time, Ariana initially had denied the accusations of drinking before driving. However, she did admit to smoking a THC vape the day prior. Now with her plea deal, the young social media influencer will be under scrutiny thanks to her probation.

She has been warned by the court that should she violate any part of her probation, she may face jail time. She will also be required to produce a breath, saliva, urine, or blood specimen for analysis for the presence of drugs, including alcohol. She also must pay over $2,000 in fines, perform 40 hours of community service, not drink alcoholic beverages or use drugs unless prescribed, complete an evaluation for substance abuse, and take a Victim Impact program. In a statement, her lawyer said, "Despite her desire to fight this case, she took advantage of the opportunity to put this matter behind her and focus her energy on all the positive endeavors in her life.

While this all may seem reasonable and achievable, we have yet to see how Ariana will be portrayed on her new series. Though the filming of Next Gen NYC occurred prior to this plea deal, like many other Bravo reality shows, the usage of alcohol is likely to be present. Should the series get the green light for a second season, will Ariana's ability to film to its fullest be affected? With a storyline involving her mother and adoptive father, Kroy Biermann, already ripe for discussion, it would be shocking should Ariana not be in the plans of the show's future.

DUIs and Their History on 'Real Housewives'

Karen Huger from "The Real Housewives of Potomac."

Though Ariana Biermann has never been a peach holder nor an official star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she is Housewives adjacent as the daughter of the notorious Kim Zolciak. Furthermore, part of the draw into Next Gen NYC is the connections of the famous reality offspring to their mothers. So, even adjacent, Ariana joins a long list of women who have found themselves in similar positions with a DUI. But not all of them have been lucky enough to receive a sentence like hers.

As it turns out, two stars of Bravo's Love Hotel have had previous issues stemming from DUIs and driving while intoxicated. Luann de Lesseps ultimately was given a plea deal following a 2017 arrest. The Real Housewives of New York star pleaded guilty to three charges — battery, trespassing, and disorderly intoxication, where she was placed on a one-year probation, among other fines and service. The Real Housewives of Orange County's Shannon Storms Beador was involved in an alleged DUI hit and run in 2023. She pleaded guilty and received three years of probation and 40 hours of community service. Of course, the biggest case, which has resulted in prison time, is that of Karen HugerThe Real Housewives of Potomac star was sentenced to two years in prison, but will only serve one, after being found guilty in her drunk driving case. After being arrested in 2024 following a DUI, she was ultimately found guilty on all counts, except reckless driving. Hopefully for viewers, this is a lesson for what could happen.
