The Atlanta Falcons improved to 3-2 on the season with yet another improbable comeback in Week 5. Despite trailing for much of the game, the Falcons forced overtime before defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 36-30 in overtime.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins turned in an elite performance and Atlanta’s offense shined in the game’s biggest moments. Drake London, Darnell Mooney, KhaDarel Hodge and Kyle Pitts contributed on a day when the running game was held in check. Atlanta rushed for just 73 yards on 18 carries.
Defensively, the team struggled early but came through in the second half. Jessie Bates forced a key fourth-quarter fumble, David Onyemata had a clutch sack and rookie Ruke Orhorhoro had a stellar debut.
