Kordell Beckham Reveals His Winning Advice for Love Island USA's Season 7 Cast

Love Island USA winner Kordell Beckham is offering his expert advice for incoming season 7 cast.

The 22-year-old reality TV star recently spoke to PEOPLE about what the new love hopefuls should expect from the popular dating series, as well as his new Cat Dads campaign with Temptations.

With the upcoming season of Love Island premiering next month, Beckham, who came in first place with his now-girlfriend Serena Page, is sharing some insight for the cast before they head to the Fiji villa.

“Just be comfortable with yourself, honestly. That's literally it. Just be you. Be the best you, you can be,” he said. “You don't have to put on the front for anybody. They'll love you for you. So, don't try to hide a few things, of what you think people may not like, because they might like it.”

“Don't get in your head, trying to create this image for the audience. Just be you,” he added.

The TV personality believes that if the new cast stays true to themselves, it will take them far.

“I know some people, they get there [and] they know that there are people watching, and know that the cameras are there, and they feel like they don't want to say the wrong thing, or do the wrong thing, or something like that. And it's just like, you can do wrong, but you can't really do too much wrong," Beckham said.

He also noted that even the people who walk in as “bombshells” are still doing their job and not doing anything wrong.

"Hey, you're a bombshell. You're going to do what you got to do. Do what you have to do. And then, see where it takes you," he said, before confessing, “I wasn't a bombshell, so I don't know how to give y'all a prep.”

When it comes to leaving the show (which films around the clock) and reentering life outside of the villa, Beckham has some helpful tips: “Take some alone time, as much needed as necessary," he said of the future pairs.

“Especially coming straight off the show, it's going to be a lot, depending on what happened. Whether it was good or bad, it'll still be overwhelming,” he explained. “So, make sure they take the time for themselves, to take it all in, but at a fraction at a time.”

He also suggested the new cast members "prepare [themselves] mentally and physically," especially when it comes to navigating social media, and close out the apps if they start to read negative comments from fans.

As for his life post-show, Beckham has been staying busy with girlfriend Page and is "getting ready to film a scripted series at the end of this month."

And while he's not a full-time cast member of Love Island: Beyond the Villa spinoff series, he will still be featured in some capacity on the new Peacock series.

"I'm just doing the same thing, being me. The only difference is, I can actually see [the cameras] now. They have it in front of us," he told PEOPLE of filming the new series.

"It's same old Kordell, same old me, just have some time with my girl," he added of Page, who is part of the main cast.
