Kyle Richards Almost Turned Down Wild Cards — Why She Said Yes Will Surprise You

   

he Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards revealed why she didn’t immediately jump at the chance to guest star in the drama series “Wild Card.”

“You know, when they first reached out to me, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, no. This feels like a ‘Housewives’ thing. I don’t want to do that,” she said during an April 7 appearance on KTLA 5’s “Morning News.”

Richards continued, “But everybody I spoke to said this show was so good. I love it so much, and I watched it and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. I am so excited to do this.”

She shared how much she loved working with the show’s leads, Vanessa Morgan and Giacomo Gianniotti.

“It’s such a fun show, really, to be around. And the way you guys bounce off each other, it really was so great,” Richards told the actors.

On working with the cast, the reality star added, “I love that you kind of get to play with your characters. It wasn’t uptight, which as an actor, you love that.”

Richards’ role isn’t too far of a stretch for her. During the “Morning News” interview, Gianniotti revealed that she’s part of a group of housewives whom his character interviews about a crime.

When asked if she would return as a guest on “Wild Cards,” Richards exclaimed, “Oh yeah, are you kidding me? It’s what I love to do. Acting is my first love.”

Richards will make her cameo on “Wild Cards” on April 9 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Fans can also stream the show on Plex.

Richards Plays a Rich Housewife Who Stars in a Reality Show

On March 10, CBC reported that Richards’ role in “Wild Cards” is that of a wealthy woman named Talia who stars in the fictional reality show, “The Luxurious Ladies of Linden Ave.”

Talia is a recovering alcoholic who is caught in the middle of a crime when her castmate is found dead during a girls’ trip.

“Kyle Richards was my favorite casting of the season, but I’m biased because I love ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ Morgan gushed.

Gianniotti added, “I was blown away by her performance. This episode is easily the funniest of our entire season and I’m so glad that we got her because it adds a level of reality ohhh to that episode.”
