Kyle Richards was questioned about a comment she made about dating another woman on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during an outing in Los Angeles over the weekend.
After Kyle, 54, confirmed to Dorit Kemsley, 47, and Crystal Kung-Minkoff, 40, that she would be open to the possibility amid her separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, 53, she further elaborated on her comment as sister Kathy Hilton, 64, reacted to rumors linking Kyle to Morgan Wade, 29, and Kyle and Morgan stepped out for their second lunch date in a week.
“We were playing a game so I was asked a hypothetical question,” Kyle explained to a TMZ photographer at the end of last week, amid a visit to La Scala in Beverly Hills with Kathy, Morgan, and Faye Resnick, 66.
Then, when the photog pressed on, asking Kyle if there was truth to what she said, Kyle replied, “I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know, things change. You never know.”
Also during their visit to La Scala, after a Backgrid photographer asked Kyle if she was dating Morgan, Kathy joked that she was the one dating Kyle as Morgan shooed the person away.
Following the La Scala lunch date, Kyle stepped out with Morgan on Sunday for another lunch.
In photos shared by the Daily Mail, Kyle was seen in a black sweatshirt, yellow sweatpants, and a green handbag, which she paired with sunglasses and a hat, as Morgan sported a similarly casual outfit that featured a navy hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and a hat.
While Kyle and Mauricio insisted their separation was amicable when it was first announced last July, things between them have allegedly intensified since.
“Kyle and Mauricio are allowing each other to do what they want, provided they don’t do anything embarrassing,” an insider told Star magazine days ago. “Mauricio has clearly touched a nerve.”
“There’s no denying they push each other’s buttons,” the source added. “But they’re going to continue to look the other way — or try to.”
