Kyle Richards clapped back at Lisa Vanderpump’s suggestion that she must apologize before they can reconnect, as Kyle expressed, “Don’t hold your breath,” and fans reacted. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star also gave an update on her relationship with Dorit Kemsley.
In the latest episode, Dorit and Kyle entered a screaming match over the fact that Kyle and PK Kemsley, Dorit’s estranged husband, sometimes text as friends. The fight seemed on the verge of getting physical.
Last month, Kyle’s longtime nemesis Lisa revealed they recently ran into each other. Though the encounter was cordial, Lisa hinted that she wouldn’t reconcile with Kyle until she apologized for their “Puppygate” dispute six years ago.
On an Amazon Live, Kyle was asked to share her thoughts on potentially rekindling the friendship with Lisa.
“Yes, LVP said that it would have to start with an apology,” said Kyle, and she then seemingly addressed her directly. “By the way, nobody’s asking to [reconnect], sorry. So don’t hold your breath.”
She then addressed her current status with Dorit.
“Our relationship is better. No doubt,” said Kyle. “I actually saw her right before I came here. [With] some girls, we got together. And you know, [it’s] much better. I’m grateful.”
In the comments, fans reacted to Kyle’s statement about Lisa.
“Kyle is a terrible friend and would be lucky to have Lisa back in her life,” wrote one fan.
“She should apologise and get it over with,” said another.
Some users, however, came to Kyle’s defense.
“Lisa ran from [RHOBH] and the reunion because she got caught in her web of lies,” said a viewer. “She can stay away.”
“Kyle did nothing wrong to LVP — why do you apologize?” wrote another. “LVP thinks she’s perfect.”
A different fan added, “In all seriousness they should never be friends again.”
In 2021, an executive producer claimed that Lisa indeed leaked a negative story about her then-friend Dorit to the press. This resulted in the Puppygate scandal, which Lisa continues to deny to this day.
“When Lisa lost the narrative in the show, and she realized that it wasn’t going the way she wanted, that’s when she leaked the story to the press,” said Chris Cullen in Dave Quinn’s book, Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It.
