As it turns out, Scheana Shay wasn’t supposed to publicly discuss Vanderpump Rules costar Katie Maloney’s and Nick Martin’s romance. Lala Kent joked that Scheana was the one who confirmed Katie’s relationship.
She talked about it on her podcast Give Them Lala and confirmed that Scheana realized, after the fact, that she wasn’t supposed to talk about it. She admitted to Lala, “I accidentally confirmed it.”

Lala confirmed that Katie and Nick haven’t confirmed their relationship for a specific reason.
“Katie and Nick haven’t confirmed (their relationship) because what I read is he is going through a messy divorce and they have to keep it quiet,” Lala shared. She was referring to Nick’s marriage with Jenna Martin ending.
Lala confirmed that when relationships are going through complications, it can get messy for everyone involved. She compared it to dating ex-fiancé Randall Emmett. He too said he wasn’t cheating because the marriage was over…
As for Scheana, Lala said she was just “clueless” for letting the secret slip. “I love her, but she lives in the cloud and doesn’t even realize it,” Lala confirmed. “I don’t know if she was yelled at after she revealed the information. It is just very funny.”
Scheana originally gave VPR fans insight into Katie’s new man before her costar confirmed the romance. She talked about how she met him with Katie on her podcast. She confirmed that he was nice and they had fun.
Additionally, Katie hasn’t publicly addressed her new romance. Further, she only revealed she has a boyfriend and is really happy.
