“I wanted to update you guys, because I did that video on Mother’s Day about my eye situation,” the Vanderpump Rules alum said in a May 13 Instagram video. “So, I originally went to an eye doctor, and he was like, ‘Oh yeah, it just looks like an inflamed pinguecula,’ right? And a lot of people wrote in (online) and were saying that same type of thing, or maybe it was allergies.”
Lala Kent says her eye issue could be a "pre-cancerous" condition
Lala said the doctor’s visit was far from reassuring, as she was convinced the eye problem was more serious than inflammation. So, what did she do? She got a second opinion.
“For some reason, that just didn’t feel right because the [eye] drops [the doctor] gave me weren’t working,” she continued. “I went to a doctor’s appointment today — to a doctor that came very highly recommended — and he looked at it and said, ‘I do not think it is [an inflamed pinguecula] at all. I actually want to biopsy it because, to me, it looks like it could be pre-cancer.’ So, they’re trying to expedite surgery to remove it and see what it actually is.”
Lala Kent tears up while detailing her health scare
Lala said her concerns started about two months ago, when she noticed “discoloration” on her sclera. She then provided a close-up of her eye, showing a small pink bump near the iris.

“I know I’ve shown you guys a million times, but I’ve been obsessing over it,” she said in a subsequent video. “I was like, ‘That is so weird. What is that?’ A week and a half ago, it started becoming an actual — it looked like a blister to me… Again, it could be nothing, and that is the hope that when they go in that it’s nothing.”
Lala then began swelling up with tears before describing the next steps. She told viewers the doctor would numb her eye and remove the mass.
“They’ll either put a stitch or they do a skin graft from the back of the eyelid… I don’t know,” she said. “I’m kind of freaking out a little.”
Lala Kent says she's "trying to stay positive" before her biopsy
About two hours later, Lala returned to Instagram to share more thoughts on her mental state and outlook.
“With me not knowing what’s going on with this situation… I don’t even know why I shared with you guys,” the mother of two admitted while lying in bed. “I guess I’ve been obsessing in every form. I’ve already obsessed with my family every day, and now I’m obsessing with you guys.”

Lala said she’s helped many friends navigate health scares with words of encouragement, but found it difficult to take her own advice.
“It’s just wild. I’ll have friends who come to me when they’re going through a health situation, and I’m like, ‘It’s going to be fine. You’ll be good. We’re gonna figure it out. We’ll cross bridges when we get to them,’” she recalled. “Then, when you’re placed in this situation, all you can do is just sit here and stress and think about every possible horrendous situation, and all of the advice that you give to people completely goes out the window. So, I’m trying to stay positive.”
