ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – An Elmira Heights hockey player had the chance of a lifetime.
In 2022, 12-year-old Landan Marsh of Elmira Heights was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Marsh is now cancer free after a full year of chemotherapy treatments and battling for his life. Last weekend his effort in fighting cancer was recognized by the NHL’s Boston Bruins.
Marsh was made an honorary captain for the Bruins this past Saturday in the Bruins’ game vs. Tampa Bay. Landan also had the opportunity to take pictures with some of his favorite players including Elmira’s own John Beecher. This memorable experience was made possible by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in New York and the Bruins front office.
18 Sports will have plenty more on Marsh’s visit to the Bruins on Saturday in the coming weeks. Below, take a look at some more photos from Marsh’s unforgettable night.
