Las Vegas Golden Knights to host first AAPI Knight at T-Mobile Arena

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Vegas Golden Knights announced plans for their inaugural Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Knight.

The event is set to take place on Thursday, January 30, when the team faces off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at T-Mobile Arena.

Adding to the festivities, a Chinese dragon will join the VGK cast for the March to The Fortress before the game.

Team officials say the event marks an expansion of the team's previous Lunar New Year Theme Knights, aiming for a more inclusive celebration.

Fans can also purchase AAPI Knight merchandise, including T-shirts and hoodies featuring Chance’s head on a snake, available at The Arsenal at City National Arena.

The evening will feature special guests from the Chinese New Year in the Desert organization and the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce, among others, who will be recognized and honored during the game.
