Las Vegas Raiders could be interested in one of the most underrated defensive players in the entire 2025 NFL Draft

The Las Vegas Raiders have a long list of needs as the 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away. They will try to address as many of them as possible; however, with all of the unknowns surrounding the draft, it's hard to predict what will happen.

One thing we do know is that the Raiders will be drafting a running back, they will be drafting a cornerback, they will be drafting a wide receiver, and they could be drafting a defensive tackle. As we said before, there are so many needs this off-season, but we still don't know what this new regime will do.

However, a good way to tell some of the players they may be interested in is to look at their pre-draft visits. And, the Raiders have visited with a lot of players we have assumed they would be interested in. Now, they're visiting with a guy who would be taken on Day 2, at a position they don't really need to take on Day 2.

Raiders have pre-draft visit with Toledo DT Darius Alexander

The Raiders do need a defensive tackle, but maybe on Day three, and certainly not Round 2 or Round 3. Their recent pre-draft visit shows they are interested in a Day 2 defensive tackle. Now, that doesn't mean they will take him, or even that they will target him, but that they are interested in what he brings to the table, and they want to learn more about the prospect.

According to Justin Melo, the Raiders are visiting with Toledo DT Darius Alexander.

Alexander is a defensive tackle from Fort Wayne, Indiana, who played for the Toledo Rockets from 2019 to 2024. After redshirting in 2019, he saw limited action in 2020 and finished with just nine tackles, and recorded 21 tackles each in 2021 and 2022. He broke out in 2023 with 36 tackles, four sacks, and Third-Team All-MAC honors, followed by a 2024 season with 40 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and First-Team All-MAC recognition.

At 6’4” and 310 pounds, Alexander’s size, speed for his size, and strength have made him a standout, earning a spot on The Athletic’s “Freaks” list. He finished his career with 127 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks, becoming a projected mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

He would be a great addition to the Raiders and a great fit, he's just going to be available when the Raiders should be looking elsewhere.
