Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek now has more pressure than ever before on making the right pick at No. 6

As we get closer and closer to the 2025 NFL Draft, it's becoming more and more clear that the most likely pick at No. 6 for the Las Vegas Raiders is Ashton Jeanty. You could throw some other names out there that could happen, but Jeanty feels like the one.

There's been the narrative that now the Raiders will draft Shedeur Sanders at No. 6, which doesn't seem ideal, and of course, there are other ideas thrown out there like Mason Graham, if the Jacksonville Jaguars pass on him, Tet McMillan, or even one of the talented cornerbacks. But, the thing is, the NFL Draft is so crazy that it's unpredictable.

The draft could come, and none of those players are even available. We think we know that the Tennessee Titans are going to take Cam Ward, but truth be told, they could take someone else. Travis Hunter could fall to the Raiders and then they have their need for a cornerback and wide receiver.

We really don't know who the Raiders will pick. No one knows. In fact, Spytek's own family doesn't even know, which is why his son is putting him under so much pressure right now.

Yes, his son.

"My oldest son has made it no secret that if we don't pick Ashton Jeanty at No. 6, he's walking out of the family and going to find someone else, probably whoever takes Ashton," Spytek said. "I think he's motivated by fantasy football and touchdowns. Not necessarily all of team building. But we are working on that.

"I love that my son loves all of the draft process at ten years old and is maybe starting to fall in love with the scouting process, I hate it a little bit too because of the life that he is signing up for, but the passion that he has, he walked right into our building and basically told Mark Davis, if my dad does draft Jeanty he's doing a bad job."

The Raiders have a ton of needs on their roster. And, honestly, taking a running back at pick six doesn't make the most sense, especially when the positional value is there in the second round. or even the third with this deep running back class. The Raiders don't even have a good enough offensive line yet to have a good running game. You can have the best running back you want, but if the offensive line is bad, none of it matters.

Regardless, Jeanty will still probably be their pick. The Raiders may just go best player available, and that may be Jeanty. No matter what, fans should be confident that Spytek will end up making the right moves all throughout the draft.

Have more confidence in him than his son does, who has now just put even more pressure on him.
