The NFL offseason takes twists and turns nearly daily. For the New Orleans Saints, another intriguing veteran addition could now be on their radar via a trade.
Dolphins could trade Jalen Ramsey
According to Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins and cornerback Jalen Ramsey are mutually exploring trade options. The Dolphins could move him before the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ramsey is owed $25.1 million in fully guaranteed money this year. However, any team that acquires Ramsey would only be responsible for $21.1 million as the Dolphins already paid him a $4-million roster bonus. -- Rapoport
Ramsey is under contract through 2028. Whoever makes a move for him - would bolster their secondary immediately for years to come.
A top-five selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016, Ramsey has accrued seven Pro Bowl nods, three First-Team All-Pro selections, and 24 interceptions over his career.

Saints' need at cornerback
Alontae Taylor has proven to be a better player in the nickel. As of now, it is unknown if he will play inside or outside next season, based on the talent at CB for New Orleans.
They've got Kool-Aid McKinstry, who they're excited about. They added/kept depth in the secondary with veteran picks in Ugo Amadi and Isaac Yiadom. With an addition of a player like Ramsey, Taylor could play in the slot full-time, where he has had most of his success in the pros.
If the Saints. could make a move for Ramsey, who they do have salary cap room to acquire, that would decrease their need to draft a CB early in this year's draft, too.
They could focus on other positions, particularly to bolster the offense for Kellen Moore in New Orleans. It remains to be seen what sort of draft compensation that Miami is looking for in return for the veteran defender.
