A judge just gave Leah McSweeney’s Bravo lawsuit the green light to move forward, so of course, the former Real Housewives of New York star is feeling as pleased as punch.

Leah sued Bravo last year, lodging a handful of accusations against the network. Bravo filed a motion to have the case dismissed, but a judge decided to leave most of the case intact. This mess is moving forward, and Leah sees that as a win.

On March 31, 2025, Judge Lewis Liman of the Southern District of New York issued a 100-page ruling that allowed Leah’s case against Bravo to continue. Although some of her smaller claims were tossed out, the crux of the case remains. She claimed that producers created a hostile work environment and weaponized her addiction problems for the storyline.

Leah’s lawsuit was part of a larger “reality reckoning” that saw Bethenny Frankel leading a handful of reality stars to rally against Bravo. In 2023, Vanity Fair published an investigative piece highlighting their claims of behind-the-scenes misconduct.

For the most part, the reality reckoning lost its steam. Bethenny got preoccupied with spitting out conspiracy theories on TikTok. Leah, on the other hand, has remained persistent.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the former RHONY star reacted to the news of her lawsuit moving forward. She’s probably already getting her outfits together for her court appearance.

“I was very pleased to hear of Judge Liman’s decision to move this case forward,” Leah said. “To be honest, I wish I did not have to have any days in court, but I am looking forward to seeing the truth and justice prevail.”

The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
