LeAnn Rimes & Kimberly Williams-Paisley will star opposite Chris O’Donnell in ABC‘s 9-1-1: Nashville, from 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, sources tell Deadline. They join Chris O’Donnell and Jessica Capshaw, who were previously announced.
ABC and 20th Television declined to comment on the castings.
The 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television project received a straight-to-series order from the network in February. The new offshoot joins the mothership series 9-1-1 on ABC, where it moved in 2023 following its cancellation at Fox. The second series from the franchise, 9-1-1: Lone Star, was canceled after five seasons in 2023 and completed its run early this year.
9-1-1: Nashville is written and executive produced by the franchise’s co-creators Ryan Murphy & Tim Minear and 9-1-1: Lone Star showrunner Rashad Raisani and will premiere during the 2025-26 season. The drama will also be executive produced by Brad Falchuk, co-creator of the first two 9-1-1 series with Murphy and Minear, and 9-1-1 star Angela Bassett, who executive produced Lone Star.
Although best known for her musical career, Rimes has appeared in various film and TV projects, including Moesha, Days of Our Lives, American Dreams, and Northern Lights. The Grammy winner’s musical hits include “How Do I Live,” which remains one of Billboard’s all-time greatest songs, and she’s had 15 top-10 hits across genres, including “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.” She is repped by Darrell Brown Management, Paradigm and Wasserman Music.
Williams-Paisley is an actress, New York Times Best-Selling author, Alzheimer’s advocate, and co-founder of The Store, a non-profit organization in Nashville that aims to address food insecurity. She is perhaps best known for starring in the Father of the Bride movies, co-starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and Martin Short. More recently, she co-starred in the Lionsgate release, Jesus Revolution, and the Netflix film, Dog Gone. She also starred in Netflix’s The Christmas Chronicles and its sequel, The Christmas Chronicles 2, with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. She is repped by The Gersh Agency and Link Management.
