Lexi also heard rumors that Jesse was flirting with Ciara at a party she missed in the Hamptons, causing her to question her trust with him.
Love is in the air on Season 9 of Summer House as Jesse Solomon and Lexi Wood made it official after only a few weeks together in the house.
“I haven’t met a girl that makes me feel like you make me feel in awhile,” Jesse confessed to her over dinner and drinks on a New York City rooftop in Season 9, Episode 8. “Will you, Lexi Wood, be exclusive with me, Jesse Solomon?”
Lexi happily agreed.
“I definitely knew it was coming, but I loved it,” she said. “‘Cause I’m a romantic. I’m being super open with him and super vulnerable with him and yes, I have emotions for Jesse.”
But she also had a warning for Jesse when she added, “Don’t make me look stupid.”
That warning came back into play in the aftermath of the Hamptons Shipwrecked party in Episode 7 (which Lexi missed to be with family), when Jesse joined Imrul Hassan’s intimate late-night party with two women in a bedroom for 37 minutes, and was captured by cameras saying, “Suck a toe.”
Jesse and Lexi dealt with the fallout back in the city, with Lexi confessing by the end of the episode, “It still makes my heart hurt.”
Jesse Solomon gets his toe sucked
The morning after the infamous party and toe-sucking encounter, Jesse played off what happened to the others in the house, but Imrul disagreed.
“Dude, you’re in the room. Act like you were in the room. It seems like, to him, nothing happened. But we all know something happened. We all know someone’s toe went in someone’s mouth,” Imrul said in his confessional.
When Lexi met up with Jesse back in the city, she asked him the weekend went, and after mentioning the guest list, he said, “I’m trying to remember what else happened.”
He explained why he neglected to share more details in the moment.
“I mean listen, given what she’s told me about how jealous she can be and whatever, I just don’t want to make a big deal out of nothing,” he said. “The toe suck thing was not sexual. It was a complete joke.”
When Carl Radke had a party to launch his new Soft Bar concept, in addition to everybody talking drinks, they were also talking toe-gate.
Bailee Henderson confronted Jesse with the news of the toe-sucking that she heard about from Imrul.
“Well, I went into Imrul’s room to see who he was having a threesome with, and I sat on the edge of the bed,” Jesse explained. "They were like, ‘Jump in! Get involved!’ I was like, ‘No!’"
While Bailee and Ciara Miller were confused how his toe got involved, Jesse added, “I think it was just like everybody was drunk and it was just a casual toe suck.”
But Bailee and Ciara pointed out this was unlikely to sit well with Lexi.
“Can she get her toe sucked on by other men? Because you know good and damn well that that’s a no,” Ciara said.
But it turns out toe sucking was the least of Jesse’s worries. The Summer House crew was also swapping stories about Jesse flirting with Ciara in Lexi’s absence.
“Toe sucking, in my mind, is not a thing,” Jesse said in his confessional. “But what I think is an actual big deal is people thinking I flirted with Ciara. So, I gotta tell Lexi about this right away. Taken out of context, it could be received poorly.”
How did Lexi react to Jesse getting his toe sucked?
At a game of kickball, the women told Lexi that Jesse got his toe sucked after the Shipwrecked party. With Lexi visibly shocked and confused, Paige DeSorbo said, “So, he conveniently left out toe sucking.”
“All week he’s been the boyfriend from freaking heaven,” Lexi said in her confessional. “Being like, he’s so loyal to me when I was away. He misses me so much and he wants me to be his girlfriend. And especially with the whole sleeping together thing, I felt really safe with him. And so now, knowing that he had this information and lied to me, makes me feel really icky."
Lexi later shared with Lindsay Hubbard that she was not OK with the revelation, calling it, “So f--king strange.”
“But the fact that he didn’t tell me, on top of it, I think is really strange,” Lexi told Lindsay. “Everyone was like, ‘Oh are you flirting with Ciara?’ And immediately he told me about it. And he’s like, ‘I don’t want that to be like a thing, so just so you know, she’s literally like my sister. And if you hear that, then it’s not true.’”
But Lindsay shared more of what Jesse said to Ciara with Lexi.
“I heard that he told her that, ‘It would have been different if you met me before West [Wilson] last summer,’” Lindsay revealed.
Jesse and Lexi sat down to hash it all out after the kickball game.
“To me it was such a non-thing,” he said. “It was a complete joke. It was funny.”
“You telling Ciara that if she didn’t date West last year you guys probably would have been together?” Lexi interjected.
Although Jesse protested that wasn’t what was said, Lexi explained why she was upset.
“I would never say that to West or Carl. I’d never be like, ‘Damn, if Jesse wasn’t here the first weekend, things might be different with you and I,’” she told him.
Although Jesse said toe-gate was a “joke,” Lexi said to him, “it’s just not funny” and added he betrayed her trust.
“Having somebody suck your toe is strange. And I think it’s even more strange that you didn’t tell me. And it’s also just embarrassing for me,” she said. “It’s like I’m hearing all this information not from the person I trusted the most. I just wouldn’t ever put myself in that situation. And I would never put you in that situation. Because I respect you.”
Although Jesse apologized and added he won’t “let it happen again,” Lexi was still upset.
Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon reveal new information about the toe suck drama
In the Summer House After Show video above, Lexi shared more details on the drama. "To be honest, I appreciate that our friends told me," she said. "He completely left out that he entered the room, sat on the bed, got his toe sucked... You have intention."
Jesse, for his part, understands why Lexi was upset. "It was a little deceptive," he admitted in the video above. "Just strategically, I was like, if I can get some distance between it happening and, like, telling her, I'll be in a much better spot."
However, Jesse wasn't planning to keep it a secret forever. "Before the show came out, I would have told her," he said.
