At Bill’s place, Ridge rails, “How could you possibly let Luna out of prison?!” Taylor complains that Bill put their family in danger. Steffy declares that Luna is going back where she belongs. Bill argues she was going to be killed in there. Ridge says no one cares; he’s putting everyone at risk. Luna begs Finn, “Dad, please, please do something. I can’t go back there. I’m going to die in there. Please!”
Luna knows she doesn’t deserve anyone’s sympathy, but she can’t go back to prison. Taylor says, “You have no choice.” Luna protests, “I’m going to die in there! Please, Finn. I’m your daughter now. You just said that you wish you were around to help me, and I need your help now.” Finn tells her that she’s his daughter, but first and foremost, she killed two men, “And you attacked the love of my life.” He puts his arm around Steffy, who looks relieved.
Deacon’s Bad Feeling
At Il Giardino, Deacon grumbles to Sheila, “Can you imagine having Luna for a daughter?” Sheila says it can’t be easy on Poppy. Deacon points out she raised her. Sheila gets her ire up over him blaming the mom. Deacon thinks Tom would have been a terrific dad. Sheila finds that a bit of a stretch. They note Poppy left quickly because Li wanted to see her. Deacon muses that Li’s a tough cookie… he wouldn’t want to be on her bad side.
They have no idea why Li and Poppy were estranged all those years, but it sounds like Poppy was a wild child. Sheila doesn’t think they could be more different, but wonders if the thing with Luna changed their dynamic. Maybe something good came out of this tragedy and they’ll have a relationship now that lasts. They go over Luna being a bad seed and having a crazy gene… she’ll pay for it for the rest of her life. Deacon complains that all Tom wanted to do was be a part of her life… and she barely even knew Hollis. Every time he looks at Poppy it makes him think about what her daughter took away from them. He questions Sheila having sympathy for her. Sheila says Poppy is feeling it right now. She understands what it’s like to be a mother separated from your child. Deacon can’t put his finger on it, but there’s something about Poppy he doesn’t trust.
Li Confronts Poppy
At the hospital, Poppy sticks her head in the office where Li is remembering Finn’s revelation about Luna being his daughter. She chirps, “Li! Hi! You wanted to see me?” She tells Li that she was excited to get her text. Li muses, “My sweet little sister.” Poppy says it’s a badge she wears with honor. She’s always admired Li and the fact that they made peace means the world to her. Family means everything. Li nods. Her family means everything to her… she’ll do anything to protect the ones she loves.

Poppy tells Li she has to tell her something. She tells her that she’s worried about Luna, and that her lawyer won’t return her calls. “I’m beginning to wonder if she’s still alive.” Li scoffs, “Of course she’s still alive.” Poppy recaps that she can’t get anyone to tell her anything. Turning her back on her sister, Li says she knows where Luna is. “She’s at Bill’s.” Poppy asks how that can be. Has she seen her? Li turns and advances as she says no, but Finn did. “My son. Your nephew. Luna’s father!” Poppy’s hands fly up to her mouth in shock and panic.
Luna Begs Finn For Help
At Bill’s place, Finn tells Luna she is his daughter, but she killed two people. Maybe he could have changed things for her, and he wishes he’d been given the chance, but Steffy’s right… she needs to go back to prison and pay for her crimes. Luna protests. She feels like her old self there, like when she was little. “I’m your daughter, your own flesh and blood.” Finn warns she won’t change his mind. Luna appeals to Bill, but Steffy snaps that Bill can’t help her. Ridge tells Spencer he should be ashamed of himself. Taylor asks if he even considered the repercussions of this. Ridge suggests he rescue a stray dog next time. Bill admits he may have over-stepped, but he wanted to step up for Luna in a way that no one did for him. Steffy’s had enough and calls Deputy Chief Baker, who’s about to enjoy a hot dog. She tells him she’s at Bill Spencer’s house with Luna Nozawa. He’s on the way. Steffy tells Luna the police are on the way… she’s going back to prison. Luna cries that she can’t go back and begs them to let her stay. She won’t leave the house. “I don’t want to be away from my dad.”
At Il Giardino, Sheila asks Deacon what he means by he doesn’t trust Poppy. It’s a feeling he gets that he’s learned not to ignore.
More: Hope’s ‘vile’ decision
Li Attacks Poppy
At the hospital, Li tells Poppy she knows her secret. She always knew she had no morals, but to take advantage of her eighteen-year-old son?! “You’re his aunt!” Poppy knows. Did she do it to get back at her? To take the most precious thing in her life? Poppy swears Finn wanted it as much as she did. Li hisses about her stooping so low. Poppy tells her it was beautiful. Li gasps, “Beautiful? Beautiful?! You’re delusional! You got pregnant with your nephew’s child, Penelope. His cousin is now his daughter, and you’re telling me he wanted it?!” Poppy stammers, “I understand how it looks. It wasn’t appropriate.” Li hollers, “It was disgusting!” She tells her she’s crossed a line she will never come back from. She will not get away with this!
Poppy asks Li to stay calm and sit down. Li fumes that she hid this for twenty years and looked her in the eye. Poppy swears she didn’t really know who the father was. Li screams, “How could you have known? There were so many men! Including my son! With that, she gets up in her sister’s face. Poppy says, “You’re starting to scare me.” Li counters that she should be scared. She created a monster, and her son and Steffy will have to live with that for the rest of their lives because of her twisted, depraved behavior. She can barely stand to watch her breathe. She marvels that she felt guilty for accusing her of bedding Jack, but what she did was a thousand times worse! With that, she lunges at Poppy and strangles her up against the wall!
Baker Arrives to Arrest Luna
At Bill’s place, Steffy tells Luna she can’t run. Luna isn’t going back there… she won’t survive. Taylor asks if she has any sense of what she’s done. She nearly took Steffy away from her children. Luna is sorry. If she could take it back, she would. Steffy feels she’s only saying this because she’s been busted; she wants Finn to think she feels remorse. Luna appeals to Taylor as a therapist, but she tells her she has patients with backgrounds far more tragic than hers who have managed not to kill anyone. “Why do you think you’re entitled to walk away with a slap on the wrist.” Taylor turns on Bill, but Luna defends him. She complains that now she has a father and they’re trying to rip her away from him. She pleads to stay a little longer, “I may never see my father again!” Just then, Baker arrives with the cops. “What the hell is she doing here?” Steffy says, “Ask Bill.” Luna protests that she’s on house arrest. Steffy says, “Chief Baker, take her away.”
More: Luna’s next move
Luna protests that she’s wearing an ankle monitor. Bill says it’s legit. He made a deal and the powers that be know where Luna is. Ridge hollers that he paid people off. Baker declares that Bill’s not equipped to hold a prisoner. “Cuff her!” Suddenly, the Chief gets a call and asks, “Say that again? Are you sure?!” He disconnects and says, “Uncuff her. Remove her ankle monitor too.” As everyone gasps, Baker announces that Luna Nozawa has been pardoned. The group is in disbelief. Ridge protests, “She’s guilty! She confessed!” Baker says there’s nothing he can do about it. She’s a free woman. Steffy hollers that this can’t be real… she killed two men! “You can’t do this! There’s no way this is happening. There is no way. This can’t be real! She has to go back to prison! Finn, please, you have to do something!” Bill gives Luna a shifty look, and Luna grins at her dad as Finn looks like a deer caught in the headlights.
