It has been a crazy offseason for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Big-time stars Steven Stamkos and Mikhail Sergachev are no longer Bolts, while Jake Guentzel and Ryan McDonagh are now with the club. However, something tells me that the Lightning are not done yet.

At the time of this writing, the Lightning have just under $6 million of cap space, so they could still look to add to their roster. When looking at their current group, they could use one more forward in their top nine before the start of the season. Due to this, one player who should grab their attention is Nick Robertson of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Robertson, 22, recently requested a trade from the Maple Leafs, and there is a real chance that he will get moved because of it. When noting that he is a young forward who has already shown promise at the NHL level, Tampa Bay should be calling.

Robertson is coming off a career year with the Maple Leafs, posting new career highs with 14 goals, 13 assists, and 27 points. When noting that he primarily played third-line minutes when used, these numbers are very solid. As a result, he would give the Lightning more secondary scoring, which is an absolute necessity.

If the Lightning acquired Robertson, he would be a precise fit in their middle six. In addition, he would be an obvious choice for their power play, as he is a creative offensive player.
