Lindsay Hubbard explained why she does not post her daughter Gemma‘s face on social media while appearing on Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick‘s podcast last week.
As she also spoke of Gemma’s future on Bravo, where she stands with ex-boyfriend Turner Kufe, and Carl Radke‘s recent comments about their relationship potentially getting friendlier, the 38-year-old Summer House star called out Carl, 40, for refusing to apologize to her for the humililating and traumatic way in which he broke up with her and admitted that she’s not allowed to share images of Gemma publicly.
“I can’t post her on social media. So I have to do it old school, you know, where I’m just like, ‘Here’s my daughter,’” Lindsay explained on the August 1 episode of Balancing Act with Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
According to Lindsay, Turner doesn’t want their child to be a public figure. So while she is “very proud” and “excited” about Gemma, and wants to “show her off,” she has to respect his wishes.
“[It] is in our DNA to share and be open and share our lives publicly. And then all of a sudden, I found myself in a relationship with a very private person … and then I had a baby with that private person,” she shared. “Dad’s private. Mom’s public. What does that make baby? It’s been a very long journey, a lot of conversations. But to me, I have to pick and choose my battles in life. And it’s just not one that I feel like fighting him on.”
