Lisa Rinna revealed her awkward encounter with Camille Grammer – her former castmate on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lisa recalled walking “right over” to her amid their tension, and she revealed what she told Camille.
Since her exit from the show, Camille (who still pops up in guest appearances) has been honest about her animosity toward certain castmates. In one shocking scene, Lisa confronted her about it at an event, calling her an “a**hole.”
On her “Let’s Not Talk About The Husband” podcast, Lisa recalled a recent party she attended at the home of Darren Star – creator of Sex and the City and Emily in Paris.
“The party was at Darren’s house. You know, there’s lots of people there. And all of a sudden, I turn around. I see Kyle Richards. ‘Hi, Kyle.’ Fine. But then I turn again – Camille Grammer,” said Lisa. “Now, I haven’t seen Camille Grammer since [I called her an a**hole on RHOBH].”
Lisa’s husband, Harry Hamlin, added, “Now I get it. I understand why there could be something thick between the two of you in this room last week.”
Lisa continued, “I go right over. I give her a hug. I start chatting with her. Camille kind of looked at me like, ‘I can’t believe you’re being nice to me.’ I said, ‘Camille, you know what? We gave them a really good show. We did our jobs. We did exactly what we were supposed to do. And you know what? Cheers to us.’ I high-fived her. And she looked at me.”
In a 2019 Bravo TV blog post, Camille addressed her on-screen fight with Lisa.
“Why Lisa Rinna needed to make me the target of controversy with the ladies the morning after my wedding still escapes me,” Camille wrote at the time. “Kyle couldn’t refrain from getting in on the action, and Lisa R prodded it along.”
“I was one bite into my salad when the Instigator-in-Chief called on me to account for what I may have said about each of them,” Camille added. “The idea that, according to Lisa R and [Teddi Mellencamp], I have to ‘own it’ and submit myself to their inquisition and approval is ridiculous. They never ‘own it,’ nor take themselves to task.”
