Lisa Vanderpump Didn’t Want Stassi Schroeder Fired After Vanderpump Rules Racism Scandal

Vanderpump Rules was rocked when Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired in June 2020. The duo was let go for exhibiting racist behavior. After her firing, Stassi lost endorsements and her podcast. Since that time, Stassi has worked hard to transform her life. She married Beau Clark, and the couple welcomed two children. Now that Stassi has matured, Lisa Vanderpump invited her to join Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa.

As you may recall, Stassi and Kristen reported Faith Stowers, a Black co-star, to the police, alleging that she committed a crime that she knew nothing about. Still, having Stassi fired from Pump Rules wasn’t Lisa’s decision. “It was very poignant because it was a sign of the times and her actions. The world is changing,” Lisa told US Weekly. “I hate this cancellation policy – people are expected to be exemplary and not make mistakes.” She added, “We all make mistakes. She did something totally inappropriate and learned from it.”

Lisa continued, “I understood why [she was let go], but I would’ve rather kept her, chastised her, and let her learn from it,” Lisa stated. Well, now Lisa, Stassi, and Stassi’s dark passenger are all reunited at a castle in Italy for Vanderpump Villa.

And it sounds like Lisa and Stassi had a wonderful time. Lisa noted that Stassi “is not as naughty as she used to be because she is a mother, but she’s still got that assertive wit.” As Lisa’s eyes and ears in the castle, Stassi will spy on the staff and make sure that their exploits don’t ruin the guests’ good time. Ironically, Stassi is in this position, as she was a thorn in Lisa’s side as a SURver in VPR.

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland, while Vanderpump Villa Season 2 drops all 10 episodes on Hulu on April 24, 2025.
