Love Island 2024: so, who left the villa last night?

They're dropping like flies...

We'll be honest, after last summer's lacklustre series of Love Island (soz) we were beginning to wonder whether Love Island was losing its sparkle after almost a decade scorching up our screens. Thankfully, producers appear to have turned series 11 up about seven or eight notches and as such, we're well and truly invested once again. Although let's be honest, even if 2024 was a sh*t series we still would've watched it because it's July and it's raining cats and dogs.

In our eyes, a few subtle show changes have really helped this series excel, such as turning the Hideaway into a free for all, bringing in everyone Joey Essex has ever got with ever, toning down the number of cringe-worthy daytime games (ick) and – sorry, Islanders – ensuring that every last dumping was a total f*cking surprise to EVERYONE. We've genuinely been clutching our pearls at each and every one.

And as we're well over halfway through this series, we've already had a fair few dumpings; as such, we thought we'd keep a handy log of those ejected from the villa this summer.

Ellie Jackson

Entered: For Casa Amor

Dumped: Day 35

Casa Amor girl Ellie Jackson – who had famously exchanged a fair few DMs with Ciaran Davies prior to Love Island – was brought back to the main villa by bombshell Trey Norman. The couple were brutally dumped by text at the end of the Love Island Film Festival.

Trey Norman

Entered: Day 23

Dumped: Day 35

Trey Norman entered the villa on Day 23 on the night of the Heart Rate Challenge and immediately whisked Jess White away on a romantic date. While the pair grew close in the main villa, they drifted during Casa Amor and Trey recoupled with Casa girl Ellie Jackson. The pair were both dumped immediately after the Love Island Film Festival following a surprise public vote.

Casa girls: Ruby Dale, Lucy Graybill, Diamante Laiva

Dumped: Day 31

Sadly, Ruby Dale, Lucy Graybill, Diamante Laiva did not find strong enough connections on the show to continue their journey outside of Casa Amor.

Casa boys: Moziah Pinder, Lionel Awadu, Joel Kirby, Jake Spivey

Dumped: Day 31

Sadly, Moziah Pinder, Lionel Awadu, Joel Kirby, and Jake Spivey did not find strong enough connections on the show to continue their journey outside of Casa Amor.

Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint

Entered: Day 1

Dumped: Day 26

As much as we are thankful to Love Island producers for bringing Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint into our lives, we will NEVER forgive them for sending them both packing before Casa Amor and the Film Festival. The faves were dumped from the Island following a shocking and brutal public vote. At least they left hand in hand after literally weeks of confusing AF love triangles.

Tiffany Leighton

Entered: Day 12

Dumped: Day 20

Tiffany Leighton entered the villa as a bombshell on day 12 and immediately turned Ronnie Vint's head. After a few days of flirting and smooching, Tiffany told Ronnie she was getting a 'friendship' vibe from him. She was dumped from the villa alongside fellow bombshell Omar Nyame.

Omar Nyame

Entered: Day 5

Dumped: Day 20

Omar Nyame had a bit of rocky ride in the Love Island villa. The studly stud struggled to connect with the girls in the villa, despite flirting up a storm with Mimii Ngulube, Uma Jammeh, and Grace Jackson. He was dumped from the villa alongside Tiffany Leighton.

Samantha Kenny

Entered: Day 1

Dumped: Day 16

We then waited six days for another dumping, and the fourth departure came in the form of fan fave Samantha Kenny on day 16; Samantha was left single and therefore dumped from the villa after Joey Essex chose to recouple with his former flame, Grace Jackson. As devod as we were at Samantha's departure, her final few words to Joey and Grace were, well, reem, and has us on our feet applauding as she sashayed out of the villa. This is how Love Island legends are born, btw.

Patsy Field and Munveer Jabbal

Dumped: Day 10

OGs Patsy Field and Munveer Jabbal were robbed we tell you, ROBBED. We had high hopes for them but unfortunately Munveer was single from the get-go (even though he's one of the hottest ever Islanders) and Patsy didn't have much luck with Omar Nyame.

Sam Taylor

Entered: Day 1

Dumped: Day 2

Sam, a 23-year-old hair stylist from Chesterfield, barely had time to settle into the villa before he was axed on day two. If you’re reading this and need a shoulder to cry on, Sam, we’re here for you.

On day one, Sam ended up in a couple with Samantha Kenny after they were both ranked in second to last place as boyfriend and girlfriend material. Sadly, they didn’t quite hit it off as Samantha slated Sam’s mullet and insisted he was “too cool” for her.

And when Joey strutted through those villa doors as Love Island’s first ever celebrity bombshell, the TOWIE legend quickly sparked a connection with Samantha (among others). Ultimately, Joey decided to couple up with Samantha, meaning Sam was dumped.

Sam's savage exit means he matches Shannon Singh's record as the fastest ever Islander dumped from the villa. Shannon coupled up with Aaron Francis when they entered Love Island 2021 on day one, but Chloe Burrows entered as a bombshell a day later and chose to steal Aaron.

This meant that Shannon got the dreaded "you are now single and are therefore dumped from the island" text, which came as huge surprise to everyone - most of all her.
