The stunning contestant was seen breaking down in tears as she dramatically quit the ITV2 dating show following her partner Wil's departure from the villa.
In the latest episode, new arrivals Reuben and Josh had to choose a girl each to couple up with. Things seemed to be going well when Josh chose to pair up with Mimi, but Uma was left heartbroken when Reuben swooped in and stole her away from Wil.
Before joining Reuben, she shared several kisses with Wil, who then received a text revealing he'd been dumped from the villa in a shocking twist.
A devastated Uma immediately announced that she was "going to leave", leaving her fellow Islanders stunned. Jess tried to convince her to stay, reminding her of Wil's previous antics at Casa Amor.
However, Uma stood firm, stating: "I'm leaving, I'm not waiting. I'm actually not staying here without him. I'd be so upset and wouldn't be myself."
After packing her belongings, she bid farewell to the other Islanders and left the villa alongside Wil. Fans quickly took to social media to share their reactions, questioning why she chose to leave with Wil.
Twitter user @jillwelshxo posted: "Uma is going to look back in 1 weeks time when Wil has cheated on a night out and regret that so much #loveIsland." (sic).
@Aneta_RnR wrote: “The fact that Will didn’t encourage Uma to stay, says it all. He is only thinking about himself. He wouldn’t have left the Villa if Uma was the one leaving! #loveIsland.”
@_iceyyylol said: “Uma, you are not even his preference?? Why would you leave the villa?? Think about the money sis #loveIsland.”
@1800flygirl asked: “Why would Uma do this? does she think they’ll last outside #loveisland.” @abenast3ph commented: “Uma deciding to leave with Will has really annoyed me ngl #LoveIsland.”
While @versacxvato added: “Love is blind! A girl being in love blindsided by a man who never liked her hopes Uma will be okay outside because Wil will never be that guy #loveisland.”
Following the shock exit, Uma admitted that it would not have been "genuine" if she stayed in the villa. Speaking in an exit interview, she said: “It’s a bittersweet feeling, I made such amazing friendships in the Villa that it started to feel like home but I’m happy to be leaving as I wouldn’t have wanted to stay and not be genuine to myself and my feelings for Wil.”
She continued: “When Will walked in I instantly felt a connection with him, he was all in for me which I really liked, and it was refreshing off the back of the Ayo situation. Once Wil took me to the other Villa for an overnight stay something clicked and I felt a special spark in that moment which made me realise he was the person for me.
"That’s why I found Casa hard for me as it made me miss Wil more. I feel so comfortable and happy around him. Seeing him waiting for me after Casa was such a special feeling, I know we’ve had our challenges but it’s made us stronger than ever. He’s my blueberry.”
Revealing what was next for her and Wil, Uma added: “We can’t wait to just do normal things on the outside, stay inside and have a takeaway and go on cute dates. Wil wants to take me to Whitley Bay to see where he’s from, but we’ve also discussed him possibly moving to London so I’m looking forward to the future with him. The only way is up from here.”
