Love Island fans are sick of Sean Stone's "sweet" habit.
Sean was reunited with Matilda Draper in Thursday night's episode (July 4). It was one of the tensest Casa Amor recouplings of all time, and full of fireworks.
Despite getting to know both Diamanté Laiva and Ruby Dale, Sean chose to stick with Matilda Darper, who also returned to the main villa single. But when Matilda was back on Sean's arm, the fireworks started.
Diamanté in particular had some stern words which both Sean and Matilda snapped back at. But it was a comment about a "watermelon slice" that didn't sit well with viewers.
"What did he precisely say and what on Earth was that supposed to mean?" one viewer asked on Reddit. "Strangest quote of the series so far."
Throughout the recoupling, the lads could be seen cringing at Sean – who sells sweets on TikTok – and his confectionary references. One person wrote: "The second hand embarrassment all the boys felt for him."
Another said: "Diamanté saying it made no sense was funny. The guy can't say anything without including a sweet reference, it's annoying."
Someone else wrote: "Every time I listen to him, I suffer." As another added: "Sean is so cringe man."
The reference to the watermelon slice goes back to Sean and Matilda's first time chatting. As the self-professed "Candy Man", Sean took it upon himself to assign a sweet to the girls he was speaking to.
He said Matilda would be a watermelon slice, which presumably must be one of his favourites. When he told Diamanté that "nothing beats a watermelon slice" he was essentially saying she couldn't compare.
