Love Island's Nicole Samuel has revealed her surprise over bagging a spot in the ITV2 villa.
The Accounts Manager, 24, from Aberdare, has revealed that she applied for the hit dating show while scrolling through social media and got a phone call the next day. Speaking to the Mirror and other publications, Nicole said of heading into the villa: "I'm excited, I could go in there tomorrow now! I'm ready, like just get me in there!
"I was scrolling through social media and I think it was an advert 'apply now', so literally just applied, thought nothing of it, didn't think anything and then the next day I had a phone call. So, yeah, it was quite quick!" Talking about what she thinks made her application stand out, the Islander said: "It wasn't as interesting as I thought it was, it was just generally things I've done, who I am, where I'm from, I had a little video clip that I uploaded, it wasn't anything that I thought would have stood out but it must of! I think it's the Welsh charm!"

ITV)Talking about what she'll bring to the villa, Nicole said: "My personality is big and I’m pretty out there, I reckon I’ll probably have one of the biggest personalities in the Villa." The Islander said of why she thinks she's single: "I’ve been enjoying single life and the attention of different boys, it’s fun. I’ve enjoyed being able to go on holiday with the girls and not having to worry about someone back home. All the girls are there texting in their room and I’m out till 4 in the morning living my best life."
The hit ITV2 dating show is launching on Monday 3 June as part of a multichannel takeover on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Love Island will continue on ITV2 and ITVX for the remainder of the series. Love Island: Aftersun will also return to screens live from London every Sunday on ITV2 and ITVX hosted by Maya Jama alongside an all star array of regular panellists. Sam Thompson and Indiyah Polack will resume their roles joined by new panellists Amy Hart, Chris Taylor and Jordan Stephens as they join celebrity guests to discuss all the goings on from the Villa this summer.
