Love Island stars Patsy Field and Munveer Jabbal caught up exclusively with OK! on the red carpet of the TRIC Awards – and revealed some very juicy show secrets.
The pair attended the TRIC Awards, for which OK! are the official media partner, on Tuesday 25 June and Patsy declared the pair were ‘robbed’ after being dumped on Day 10.
Chatting with us, Patsy declared: “We were robbed, we had so much more to give in there and who knows what could have happened with both of us.
“I think we would have given it our best shot throughout. And that’s the aim of the game.”
Patsy was joined at the TRIC Awards by Munveer, who she coupled up with on Day 5 - they were both dumped five days later.
Patsy revealed that prior to entering the Mallorcan villa, the Love Island producers gave the contestants some words of warning. She explained: “They do say when you go in that you could be in there for two days or two weeks, two months and unfortunately that’s how it happened for us.”
Munveer weighed in on the fact that fans called out the fact that he barely got any airtime. He laughed when he said: “I’m alive! That’s part of the drama and that’s fair enough. We’d sit down at nine o’clock, and what do you want to be following? Drama. Not Munveer trying to chirps everyone. I’m not bitter about it.”
Patsy then made a comment about Munveer that viewers will remember caused a divide between them in the show, as she reminded us: “He tried to call me out in there trying to cause drama. But on the outside world, I probably would cause a bit of drama anyway, just a little bit of mischief. I was never doing anything unfair, I was just stirring the pot a little bit.”
Despite being axed without finding a romantic connection, Patsy remained determined that they will both find someone in the future. She told OK!: “We’ll find love on the outside.” Then she looked at Munveer and added: “Just not with each other.”
As for predictions on the show, Patsy theorises that ‘a few things will go down in Casa’.
And both of them hope that Welsh lovebirds Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel will go on to win Love Island 2024.
