Love Island hopeful Sam Taylor has admitted that he’s got an unconventional way of bagging the ladies.
While chatting to Daily Star the ITV newbie confessed that his career as a hairdresser may help him get ahead of the game, and even admitted that he’ll be keeping his fellow islanders looking sharp while they battle it out. He cheekily quipped: “Everyone's pretty lucky when it comes to that because obviously I can keep everyone looking good.
"Definitely, it will definitely come out, the hairdressing skills. Definitely going to use it to my advantage!
“I do think me being in the job I’m in, being in it since I was 17, it has definitely helped me to get places I really wanna get. In day to day life, talking to people is a major, major thing. I think it's a major skill as well. I think my job will come in handy in the villa.”
Sam isn’t worried about getting to know both his male and female housemates: “Getting on with the lads, getting on with new people you’ve never met before, definitely do think [hairdressing] is going to help!”
“I wouldn’t say [I’m] nervous - now I’m just ready to get in there. It's been a couple days of just chilling but now I’m bouncing off the walls! There’s only so many workouts you can do in one day. Definitely ready.”
Taylor admitted that he’s excited to “meet everyone” and form “friendships” with his co-stars as “everyone is in the same boat”. He urged his fellow islanders to “remember” this, although he noted it “might be a bit hard sometimes”.
Sam assured ITV viewers that he is “excited to keep everyone happy” and is looking for a girl who knows “how to carry themselves”. The reality star explained: “They’re chatty, bubbly, stuff like that. Ambition is really attractive. Looks wise, I’m into my blondes, brunettes, stuff like that - good thing about my job though, if they’re blonde I can make them a brunette, not too hard!”
“Someone I can click with, that’s what I’m most excited about. No distractions, nothing like that.”
