Love Island's latest summer series has been packed full of surprises with three bombshells unveiled and an Islander dumped after only two episodes - and the drama is showing no sign of slowing down yet.
Last night (June 10), motivational speaker and author Sophie was forced to exit the villa after her partner was stolen by newly-single Shakira. It followed a brutal opening night twist where bombshell Toni swooped in and stole a boy, leaving Shakira with just 24 hours to find another partner or leave the show herself.
A former Love Island star has now opened up about some of the show's secrets, and she is convinced the winner of the series still hasn't been introduced to viewers.
Olivia Hawkins made her Love Island debut in the 2023 winter series. The Season 9 star was in the villa from the first day appearing alongside names such as Tom Clare and Lana Jenkins. However, her journey on the show ended after she was dumped in the public vote alongside partner Maxwell.
Olivia and Maxwell parted ways weeks after their show exit as things apparently "weren't the same" between them post-villa according to a statement released in the wake of their split.
Discussing the new summer series, Olivia shared her predictions for who could win: and it is not one of the boys or girls in the opening line-up.
"I don’t think the winners have walked in yet, I reckon it’ll be potentially one of the bombshell boys that’s coming in today, but I don’t think the winners are in there yet," she confessed in conversation with Mecca Bingo.
Host Maya Jama promised this season would feature never-before-seen twists and turns which could put the Islanders in some emotional situations. Olivia shared that behind-the-scenes there is a "secret Zoom room" upstairs where contestants can get the support they need.
"We go there most days," Olivia revealed. "It's basically a check-in, you can ask for whatever you want: make-up, food, literally any request."
She continued: "Also, on an off-day you film up until lunch and then stop. The next day, you have to put back on the same bikini and the same jewellery and pretend it's still the day before, but you have to hand wash the bikini. It's not the most glamorous."
Before entering the show, the Islanders are given code names and even blindfolded on the day they head in to avoid them seeing their fellow singles.
"It's like a military operation. You're given a code name - mine was Cartier, obviously - then they have a group chat where they track your location and everyone's code names.
"On the get-in day, you're all blindfolded but I actually saw Nas twice on my get-in day. They forgot to blindfold me.
