The 27-year-old semi-pro footballer for Lewes is hoping to find love in the villa and has been given some priceless advice by none other than show icon Olivia, 33.

Speaking to The Sun, Ronnie said: "Brad is my best pal, he's like a brother to me and Olivia has turned into my big little sister.

"She spoke to me about the experience that I'm going to go through and said 'look, just enjoy it...you've always got on with everyone and that will be more than enough to get you started on the show.

"She's always been supportive and I've always been supportive of what she's done.

"It's a nice relationship to have with her and Brad being my best pal.

"Me on the show, I'm me and I want to obviously show that whoever I'm with

It's nice to have them as my support and guide and they're my best friends in life. But it's also me and I'm Ronnie and showing that side will be big as well."

In the same chat, Ronnie hit back at trolls saying he looks "older" than his age.

In response, Ronnie said: "Whatever really...I always say I always look a bit older.

Love Island’s Harriett branded a ‘golddigger’ as she boasts about unusual job ‘spending rich men’s money’

"I've always been told I look older, do I look old?

"And I've had some mad shouts before. I might have to get rid of this long line on my forehead and hopefully I'll look a bit younger."

It comes after fans complaining the promo shots make the Islanders look older.

“Someone's dad is missing! No really,” one wrote. “Who takes the official love island photos? Why does everyone look completely different on them than on their profile?”

“Goshhh it’s old island at this point,” said a second, while a third wrote: “Why do they all look so old”

But others have been quick to jump to the stars’ defence, saying: “Everyone’s always asking for normal people, now we’re getting them and still hating smh”

“He at least looks better in his Instagram profile, the photographer's definitely doing them dirty,” added a second, while a third said: “And guys he’s like 27 I think relax!”

Ahead of entering the villa, Ronnie said: "I want someone that's family orientated, caring and career minded. Lookswise, I like blondes with nice boobs but am partial to a brunette too."

"I’ve had two serious relationships in the past but more recently have enjoyed being single and doing my own thing, as I’ve been focussed on my football career," he said.

"I’ve got to the age where I want to find the right person I can build a life with."

The full cast line-up was announced this morning, and includes a trainee nurse, a make-up artist, two footballers and a professional dancer.

Maya Jama, 29, will be back to guide the islanders through their quest for love, and a £50,000 prize fund.
