Luann Reveals She’s “Really Struggling” Post Tom Divorce: "My Heart Has Been Broken"

It’s been a New York minute since Luann de Lesseps dipped her toes into the dating pool, and she’s doing just that at Bravo’s Love Hotel.

In the series premiere episode, which aired Sunday, April 27, The Real Housewives of New York City alum was one of four Housewives I.S.O. the perfect man with the help of Love Concierge Joel Kim Booster. Her romantic ventures are not for lack of trying, needless to say, as adoring fans have watched her love-related ups and downs over the years, including in Bravo’s Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake.

“I can’t believe I’ve been single for seven years,” Countess Luann admitted in her confessional, “and I don’t wanna settle for somebody that doesn’t make me happy, somebody that I have to bend backwards for — um, that sounds weird.”

From her first marriage to Count Alexandre de Lesseps to the Johnny Depp lookalike pirate from St. Barths, many have tried — and failed — to hang on to Luann. Still, the “Money Can’t Buy You Class” cabaret singer says she is still “struggling” following her divorce from husband number two, successful businessman and RHONY socialite Tom D’Agostino Jr., whom she met through Dorinda Medley in 2015.

Upon check-in at Bravo’s Love Hotel, Luann reflected on her two marriages, both of which audiences witnessed across the RHONY seasons. Her first, to the Count, lasted from 1993 to 2009, while her second, shorter marriage to Tom lasted only one year from 2016 to 2017.

“Did I think I was going to be dating at this stage in my life? No, I didn’t,” she said in the recent episode. “I’m actually really struggling with trusting people again because my heart has been broken.”

RHONY fans can’t soon forget when former Housewife Bethenny Frankel confronted Luann with photos of then-fiancé, Tom, making out with another woman at the local watering hole (which, in RHONY-land, was The Regency in Manhattan).

Cameras were rolling when the debacle went down in Season 8, Episode 20, but it didn’t stop Luann from pulling the trigger and saying, “I do,” despite cheating rumors spreading far and wide.

Luann filed for divorce less than one year later, explaining why in a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen special, One-on-One with Luann de Lesseps.

“It was, like, the weekend before the reunion basically. And Tom went out, and he called up an old girlfriend and they met up with a group of people and I didn't know about it. I found out about it the next day in the press," Luann recalled to Andy Cohen. "So that, for me, was like the final straw. I was like, 'I can't do this anymore.'"
