Margaret Josephs calls out ‘childish and ridiculous’ Jennifer Aydin for claiming she was asked back to ‘RHONJ’

Margaret Josephs is weighing in on Jennifer Aydin asserting that she will be part of the next “Real Housewives of New Jersey” season as Bravo figures out the future of the reality series.

“I just knew that was a mistake. You don’t do that. You don’t be presumptuous. You shouldn’t be cocky,” Josephs, 57, tells Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” while promoting her Blonde Ambition Tour with fellow “Housewives” star Dorinda Medley.

“Until the entire cast knows and you get that call, you don’t have to clap back at people,” she adds, calling Aydin, 47, “childish and ridiculous” for her comment on the matter.

The state of “RHONJ” remains in flux after an incredibly divisive Season 14 saw a myriad of feuds play out and, for the first time in the show’s 15-year history, a traditional reunion being canceled.

Heated conflicts between Josephs and Aydin, Josephs and Jackie Goldschneider, Aydin and Danielle Cabral, Teresa Giudice and Rachel Fuda, Fuda and Jennifer Fessler plus lingering tensions between Giudice and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga were laced throughout, leaving the cast’s dynamic at a standstill.

With production on pause, fans have been feverishly curious about which women will return to the next installment of the hit show.

While getting Botox during an Instagram Live earlier this month, Aydin responded to a viewer who commented something indicating that they did not want her to resume her role.

The mother of five — who has appeared on “RHONJ” since Season 9 — lifted up her middle finger and retorted, “Oh, sorry … I am coming back.”

“Real Housewives” executive producer Andy Cohen shut down the claim during an ensuing broadcast of his SiriusXM radio show, “Andy Cohen Live.”

“We’ve done absolutely nothing — well, actually, we’ve done plenty. But that’s not — no. I’ll wait ’til I get a — I wish her well,” he said. “Wait ’til Bravo or I says something.”

Josephs, for her part, appreciated Cohen’s response.

“It’s just like, bury yourself, I don’t care,” she tells us of her onscreen adversary Aydin before praising the “Watch What Happens Live” host: “Then Andy came back and said it straight, and that was amazing.”

While the franchise is a hot topic for fans who come out to see Josephs and “Real Housewives of New York” alum Medley, 59, on their Blonde Ambition Tour, the ladies have been enjoying sharing parts of themselves beyond the Bravoverse with audiences.

“It’s important that when you are not really filming anymore and you go back out there, that you want to make sure that people understand that you are not just a Bravolebrity,” Medley tells “Virtual Reali-Tea.”

“You’ve got to remember there’s a lot of life behind us: how we got on ‘Housewives,’ we have lived, loved, done businesses, raise children. And we want people to know that when we’re not in front of the cameras, that we still exist and we’re running our lives and businesses and have a lot to say.”

Josephs and Medley’s next live show is Nov. 4 at City Winery in Philadelphia, hosted by content creator Peter Panos, before hitting Boston on Nov. 6 and New York City on Dec. 2.
