As the cast of Chicago P.D. continues to work hard on the show before its return on Jan. 8, show star Marina Squerciati took a night off to enjoy a musical with her daughter.
The 40-year-old shared some new photos on Dec. 5 of herself and her daughter catching the musical & Juliet at a Chicago theater, looking very different than her on-screen counterpart.
For the special mother-daughter outing, Squerciati tried out a new style, donning a sequined strapless corset top, black pants, a fur jacket and a bright blue wig. Her daughter followed suit, rocking silver pants, a sparkling tutu skirt, a colorful top and a black wig.
In the first photo, the two struck strong poses in front of a board showing the cast of the night's performance, while the second snap showed Squerciati caught snacking on a salad in her fun outfit.
"& Juliet. We don't need no stinkin' Romeo. @broadwayinchicago. Also I barely made it from work!" she wrote in the caption. "We slapped on the wigs in the elevator, I ate my dinner on the El Platform, and we had to sprint a few blocks! (Just wanted to give you the reality behind the IG photos 🫠)."
Fans shared appreciation for both Squerciati's outfit and her parenting, with replies like, "Love how real you are" and "Rockstar Mama! 😍❤️. You and your daughter look gorgeous! ❤️."
"2 beautiful ladies on an adventure! Glad you 2 made it!❤️," wrote another fan, while someone else complimented the mother-daughter duo, saying, "You both rocked it, I loved your blue wig and corset, and her sparkly boots are perfect."
A different fan declared, "Expert execution at all levels! These photos just make me smile! So cute!"
Squerciati plays the character Officer Kim Burgess on the popular TV series Chicago P.D., which is currently on a mid-season hiatus until early 2025.
