It’s safe to say Leafs fans are not only enjoying the Nylander summer content but also the images including Pablo and Banksy.

This period of relaxation comes after a demanding season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, where Nylander once again proved to be a vital asset to the club – and he was rewarded for it. The 28-year-old signed an eight-year, $92 million contract extension with the Leafs back in January that carries an average annual value (AAV) of $11.5 million. 

His 2023-24 campaign saw him tie his career-high in goals (40) and set a personal best in the assist (58) and points (98) categories. His new contract is set to kick in for the start of the 2024-25 season, as the Leafs wasted little time to lock him into the organization for eight more years with a full no-movement clause throughout. 

Coming off a career year, his offseason break is well-deserved. Pictured working out in the latter stages of June with his brother, Alex, on a Monark Ergomedic Testing Bike, the Swede seems to have the perfect blend of preparation and restoration.

As we’re only in the beginning weeks of July, likely, we haven’t seen the last of offseason Nylander content, either. Following a near 100-point season, the star forward seems ready to take another step in 2023-24 with roster shakeups and a new coaching staff at the helm. The Leafs have made notable moves this offseason, aiming to build a stronger, more defensively reliable team. Entering the 2024-25 season with new strategies and voices, it’ll be interesting to see how Nylander is utilized under the re-designed system.
