Spjson Cowell was mocked by former Britain's Got Talent judge Martin Kemp over the music mogul's height as he said his "head is really big" which makes up for it.
Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp delivered a sharp jibe at Simon Cowell, commenting on a "disproportionate" aspect of the music mogul.
On the podcast FFS, My dad is Martin Kemp, The One Show host Roman Kemp expressed his surprise at Simon's height when they first met. He says it was one of the first things he noticed when he met the 5ft 7in businessman.Roman disclosed this after mentioning that EastEnders icon Barbara Windsor had a "track of boxes" behind the bar at the Queen Vic to help her reach over the counter. Martin pointed out that "apple boxes" are a common trick in the film industry, citing Hollywood's Tom Cruise, who is said to have custom-made platform shoes.Roman referred to the shoes as a "Simon Cowell" heel. The height-conscious businessman has previously been known to use a Cuban heel to increase his stature, as well as a booster seat for Britain's Got Talent auditions.
Reflecting on his encounter with Simon, Roman remarked: "I was always surprised by how small Simon Cowell was. When I first met him, that was the first thing I noticed."

To which Martin replied: "He is small isn't he? But his head is really big so it kind of makes up for it."
Roman agreed, saying: "It's a bit disproportionate isn't it?" Martin then made a biting comparison, likening Simon to a "bobblehead toy".
Judges on Britain's Got Talent have often teased Simon about his stature. For instance, in 2013, Piers Morgan humorously suggested that Simon "grows" between shots, reports the Manchester Evening News.
He remarked: "When we're on Britain's Got Talent, he's smaller than me, then suddenly his three pillows arrive and he's taller than me."

At the time, Simon's spokesperson insisted that the cushions were not for extra height but something he uses "from time to time". Piers isn't alone in poking fun at Cowell's stature as David Walliams has also had a laugh.
The former judge, who stands at 6ft 1in and overshadows Simon, commented on ITV's Lorraine in 2021: "I always forget how big I am until I stand next to him."
Simon is believed to wear a £1,000 pair of Cuban heels to make him appear taller, with his trousers often tailored around the footwear. It is thought the shoes provide a three-inch lift.
Britain's Got Talent's auditions continue at 7pm on ITV One today (Saturday, March 8). Simon will be joined by judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and KSI.
