Cyclops adores women and, under the right leadership, he will take authority from women ... but he may love women a little too much. In layman's terms - Cyclops can't keep it in his pants.
Even Marvel via an X post have to acknowledge Cyclops' most recurring issue. This week, New York repealed a law dating back to 1907 that made the act of adultery a crime punishable of at least a three-month jail sentence. Marvel is certain that if he were a New Yorker, this decriminalization move is one that the X-Men leader would celebrate.
The lovelorn Cyclops is a notorious cheater in the scope of the Marvel Universe, and it's become one of Marvel's biggest recurring jokes.

And Scott's Biggest Character Flaw
His romantic status has been well-documented, but none more so than Cyclops' messy love triangle with Emma Frost and Jean Grey. It was during Grant Morrison's "New Worlds" arc of X-Men run that Cyclops begins an affair with Emma Frost. Originally, the new Xavier Institute teacher finds herself merely consoling him in ways that Scott feels like Jean couldn't after his ordeal in being merged with Apocalypse, but quickly, they - in layman's terms - start hooking up telepathically. To say that Jean isn't happy when she finds out is an understatement, but when she dies, Scott nonetheless pursues a relationship with Emma.
Even before that, Cyclops made some rather questionable romantic choices that legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont is convinced ruined the character. In the wake of Jean Grey's original death, he meets her clone Madelyn Pryor, and the spitting image of Jean is enough for Cyclops to start courting her. They marry, have a kid, and it looks like Scott finally gets his happy ending. Then, the real Jean Grey returns, and in a heartbeat, Scott leaves his family to chase after her. By Claremont's assessment, he's not wrong at all. Cyclops' lovesickness has become a defining character trait since then.

It's such a defining character trait that the current run of X-Men is poking fun at it, exposing that Cyclops is addicted to dangerous women. At this point, it's become such a prevalent character trait that it's become hard to ignore, and maybe even harder for Cyclops to shake. The questionable decisions he's made in the name of love is damning to his character and an easy target to criticize him, no matter how much he's changed. It's not like a character flaw that Scott is actively working on. Cyclops is just embarrassingly horny, and it's hard not to roast him about it whenever possible.
