Mary Accuses Heather of Spewing “Lies”

On this episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, the group is still working out the issues that have trickled over from Milwaukee. Lisa and Angie are at odds, especially when parenting gets questioned, and Whitney realizes who is planting the rumors about her business. One thing is for sure: Heather is stirring the pot in almost every situation. When Bronwyn and her daughter, Gwen, open up about familial woes, we realize Bronwyn is much more than couture clothing and hot dog costumes…

RHOSLC Recap: Mary Accuses Heather of Spewing "Lies,” Whitney Exposes Lisa as the Person Behind Her Business Rumor, & Angie Insinuates Lisa is a Bad Mom, Plus Bronywn Opens Up About Her Past, and Britani Blames Lisa for Her Breakup With Jared

Bronwyn and Lisa meet for a massage, although it is unclear what is happening because we are all too focused on this dramatic story that Bronwyn and Lisa are narrating. It turns out that Lisa knows Bronwyn’s daughter’s father’s parents. Did you follow that? Not only that, but Lisa is close with them and speaks highly of them. The only problem is Bronwyn sees it differently.

Bronwyn calls the situation super complicated, considering that her daughter’s biological father was not involved in her life and passed away when her daughter was two. Bronwyn shares that she got pregnant at 18 during her second year at BYU. This information came as a shock, and when they told the baby daddy’s parents the news, the conversation shifted, making Bronwyn out to be the awful and shameful one. Bronwyn claims they told her to go study abroad, quietly have the baby, and then put her up for adoption.

Bronwyn then moved home, and it has always been hard for her to comprehend how people could think this was the worst thing she has ever done, but then again Gwen, her daughter, came out of it. After 18 years, Bronwyn’s dad’s family still has not made an effort with their granddaughter. It turns out that Lisa knows the grandmother would love to have a relationship with Gwen now, but Bronwyn is having a hard time reconciling with this family. It will “physically pain” Bronwyn to watch her daughter become close to the people who shamed her all those years ago.

Heather, Whitney, and Britani shred some powder and stop to discuss the video. Upon returning home from Milwaukee, Britani made a video capturing the four dozen roses sitting on her desk with a beautiful card from Jared. Britani feels like Jared deserves closure and is guilty about Lisa affecting decisions in her personal life. Whitney goes on to say that she, too, is annoyed with Lisa.

It turns out that Lisa tossed her Prism necklace in the trash at the hotel back in Milwaukee. This is a huge FU to Whitney and her jewelry line. It also begs the question, who IS spreading these rumors about Whitney’s jewelry line and Alibaba? Heather reminds Whitney of the order: Lisa told Meredith, Meredith told Heather, Heather told Whitney. Whitney is taking these rumors seriously and feels like Lisa planted this to be vindictive. Of course Heather wants Whitney to get to the bottom of it all. Makes good TV…

Mary wakes Robert Jr. up (I presume), and he asks her for some money “for good purposes.” She talks vaguely about his lifestyle, but she is hopeful he will soon get a job. This mother-son moment gets interrupted when Robert goes back to bed and Angie picks Mary up for a dance class, which is a sentence I never thought I’d type. It turns out that Georgia, Heather’s daughter, also attends that dance class. Post becoming backup dancers, Angie talks about how bad her exchange with Lisa was. She particularly didn’t like how Lisa brought up the way she mothers and claims they were like sisters. Angie also feels like Heather is siding with Lisa.

In the meantime, Heather and Lisa head to a salt cave. Heather feels like Angie is challenging Lisa unnecessarily, and although Angie was upset, she was being mean. Heather spills and throws Angie under the bus for all the nasty things she was saying about Lisa and her parenting. Heather thinks that Lisa deserved to know what Angie was saying. Getting criticized for being a mother is rude in Lisa’s eyes, but Heather thinks Lisa needs to get to the bottom of why Angie is coming after her. Stirring the pot…

Later, a podcaster (who also moonlights as a detective) named Adam calls Whitney to explain that somebody she is close to is the one claiming that Prism’s jewelry comes from Alibaba. It turns out that it is someone in the group and it is… Lisa. Just as Whitney suspected. After all the hoopla with Reality Von Tease, Whitney can hardly believe that this is true. Is this vindictive payback for Whitney talking smack about Lisa on a podcast?

Britani decides to meet with Jared for some closure — or to get back together for the 30th time? Jared explains that this breakup surprised him because she ghosted him. Jared also does not appreciate that Lisa FaceTimed him since private conversations between the two of them should not be public to everyone. Britani explains he won’t get off dating apps, won’t post about her on social media, and drops her hand when he sees a pretty girl. Seems like Jared simply cannot give any more to her, but he promises that he is a “really good guy,” even though they’ve decided to put a pin in their relationship.

Bronwyn and her daughter sit down to discuss creating a relationship with Gwen’s father’s parents. The grandparents were excited to finally meet Gwen, according to Lisa, but Gwen is not sure where to go next. Things got a little cold with them, and Gwen explains that she has always been ready to forge a relationship with them — it’s just that they chose not to reach out to her for 18 years. Gwen wishes she had something tangible to help her get to know her father, but she cannot do this until she forms a relationship with her grandparents. Gwen is the one suffering from all of the choices made for her by others.

Because we love a good activity, Heather has invited Mary, Britani, and Lisa out ziplining. These thrill seekers successfully complete the “liberating and fun” experience and set up a little picnic afterward. Heather gifts Britani a unicorn ring dish to remind her that she is a strong woman. Britani goes on to tell Lisa that she is upset with her because she caused a huge rift between her and Jared. Is this the Twilight Zone? Britani is unsure why Lisa is so invested in her relationship, and Lisa is blindsided by this. She reminds Britani of all of the awful things Jared did to her AND all the times Britani complained to the group about Jared. Britani thinks that Lisa might have ruined any chance of her having a friendship with him. Lisa is beyond confused. Britani tells the ladies to stay out of it, yet she was the one looping everyone in initially.

Heather brings up how Mary bumped into Georgia, and Mary remains relatively cagey about the details. Mary admits that she saw Georgia at a hip-hop dance class and that she was trying to get a workout in. Mary finally discloses that she was there with Angie. Lisa lets the group know that she hasn’t talked to Angie since Milwaukee, and she feels like Angie hasn’t been a good friend, especially when she insinuated Lisa was a bad mom. Mary wonders why Lisa hasn’t contacted Angie and feels like Heather “champions” Lisa despite knowing Angie since high school. Mary notices that Heather is always in the middle of everything, but then she backs away and “hides her hands.”

It’s hard to take Heather seriously with all that dirt on her face from ziplining, especially as Mary goes in on her. Mary feels like Heather leaves a trail of lies. Between the black eye and the championing of body positivity, Heather is spewing lies. Hello, Ozempic? Heather explains that the truth is everyone just wants people to be skinny, and she is just trying to live her life without it being about her body for once. It leaves us to wonder, what has pushed Mary to clock Heather so hard… and where was Meredith the entire episode?!
