Matthew Stafford's Wife Goes Viral After 'Heartbroken' Admission About Joe Burrow

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, recently caught the attention of fans again after making a comment about Joe Burrow and the Pro Bowl QB's situation with the Cincinnati Bengals.

In a recent episode of her "Timeout" podcast, Kelly Stafford shared her brutally honest thoughts about Burrow and how he just keeps on losing in Cincinnati despite his elite talent.

The 46-year-old mother-of-four touched on the Week 11 showdown between the Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers, which saw the Chargers secure a 34-27 win at SoFi Stadium. It was at that point that Kelly Stafford dropped her "heartbroken" admission about Burrow.

"That was such a good game," she said of the Bengals-Chargers contest... It was impressive.

"Also, I am a little heartbroken for Joe Burrow. To be honest, it's reminding me of when Matthew played on the Lions for a bit. You can tell how good and talented he is, it's just the team is not winning and that is frustrating."

Kelly Stafford was referencing her husband's time with the Detroit Lions, where the former Georgia standout spent the first 12 years of his career before taking his talents to the Rams.

Matthew Stafford, who won a Super Bowl with Los Angeles in 2022, holds an overall record of 74-90-1 during his stint in Detroit. Kelly Stafford could not help but look back on those hard times in the context of Burrow's current stature with the Bengals.

"So I texted Matthew and I was 'I kind of feel like I feel for him. Because I felt for you in those times,'" she continued.

Kelly Stafford's comments have since blown up online. Several outlets have shared her quote on X, with one in particular from a Lions fan account amassing over 500,000 views.

The fans have had mixed reactions to Kelly Stafford's statement. For the most part, Detroit supporters have gone off on her for supposedly putting the Lions in a bad light despite the fact that it has been four years since her husband cut ties with the team.

Others, however, were more empathetic with Kelly Stafford in that they believe that she's merely pointing out how Matthew Stafford did not have the best of stints while in Detroit, at least in terms of having a winning record.

For what it's worth, Burrow is currently tied with Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens for the most touchdowns (27) in the NFL so far this season. His 3,028 passing yards are third in the league, and he currently boasts a 67.2 completion percentage.

Despite another strong campaign for Burrow, however, the Bengals are 4-7 and remain third in the AFC North.
