Max Domi is about to embark on a big season with the Toronto Maple Leafs in which there is lot of pressure to go out there and succeed.
Interestingly enough, Domi's former teammate with the Arizona Coyotes, Tony DeAngelo, is going through some hardship right now. There wasn't a single NHL team that was willing to sign DeAngelo. As a result, he signed with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL. Once you go down this route, it is hard to ever come back.
On social media, Domi went on his Instagram story and had a message for DeAngelo. He wished him well and seemed eager for his eventual return to the league. However, other fans weren't so kind. As it turns out, throughout social media, some fans went after Domi for supporting a not-so-great guy.
As for DeAngelo, he recently spoke to RG.org about his departure from the NHL. It is clear that he hopes to get back, but also appears to be immensely frustrated with his predicament. It seems as though he just wants to be given a fair shake, but that doesn't seem possible right now.
'I waited through most of the summer,' DeAngelo said. 'It took a bit long. It was back and forth. With a bunch of different things, the negotiation process wasn't where we wanted to go. I had a great opportunity to come here and play in a great League with great players. It was the best situation for myself at this time.'
